Ambition (Wale Album)
''Ambition'' is the second studio album by American rapper Wale. It was released on November 1, 2011, by Allido Records, Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records. This serves as the follow-up to his debut album, '' Attention Deficit'', which was released in 2009. The production on the album was handled by multiple producers including Lex Luger, T-Minus, Tha Bizness, DJ Toomp and Diplo among others. The album also features guest appearances from Rick Ross, Lloyd, Ne-Yo, Big Sean, Miguel, Meek Mill, Kid Cudi, and Jeremih. ''Ambition'' was supported by five official singles: "Chain Music", "Bait", Lotus Flower Bomb", "Focused" and "Sabotage". The album was also a commercial and critical success, receiving generally positive reviews from music critics. Olubowale Victor Akintimehin (born September 21, 1984), known professionally as Wale ( ), is an American rapper. He first became known for his 2006 song "Dig Dug (Shake It)", which became popular in his hometown of Germantown, Maryland and led Wale to gain further local recognition as he amassed a number of follow-up releases. He signed a recording contract with English DJ-producer Mark Ronson's Allido Records in 2007, which, after a three-label bidding war, entered a joint venture with Interscope Records for US$1.3 million the following year. Lloyd Polite Jr. (born January 3, 1986) is an American Contemporary R&B, R&B singer. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Decatur, Georgia, he began his musical career as a member of the preteen-boy band N-Toon, which was formed by Joyce Irby in 1996.
