Altbach
Altbach is a municipality in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg. It belongs to the Stuttgart Region. (until 1992 ''Region Mittlerer Neckar'') and the European Metropolitan Region Stuttgart. Geography Geographical location Altbach lies on the southern slope of the Schurwald into the valley of the Neckar between Plochingen upstream and Esslingen am Neckar downstream. The old Neckar runs through the municipal area, which reaches to the right bank of the present course of the river, in an arc on the right bank, above which lie the residential areas crossed by the Altbach towards the Old arm, while on the flat river island between the runs there are mostly industrial areas of the Neckar valley. The district is rich in springs, and so the community can cover 45% of its drinking water needs from its own wells. Deizisau
Deizisau is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It belongs to the Stuttgart Region (until 1992 ''Region Mittlerer Neckar'') and the Stuttgart Metropolitan Region. Deizisau is located between the towns of Plochingen and Esslingen am Neckar, about 20 kilometers southeast of Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg. The river Neckar flows through this town. Alter Neckar
''Old Neckar'' (dt. ''Alter Neckar'') is a nature conservation area designated by decree of the Regional Council Stuttgart on the territory of the municipality Altbach and the town Esslingen in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg. A area had already been placed under protection by decree of December 2, 1985. The area is located at 245 m above sea level in the densely populated Middle Neckar Valley, directly south of built-up areas and industrial areas (Altbach/Deizisau combined heat and power plant Altbach) and is part of the natural areas of the Stuttgart Bight and the Filder. The area includes an oxbow lake of the Neckar, the woods along the banks, adjacent meadows and fields, unused former fillings and rubble areas as well as parts of the banks of the Neckar Canal. District Of Esslingen
Esslingen is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the centre of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Rems-Murr, Göppingen, Reutlingen, Böblingen and the district-free city Stuttgart.
