Der Teckbote is a German daily newspaper for the Swabian town of Kirchheim unter Teck. History The Teckbote was founded in 1832 under the title ''Wochenblatt für den Oberamtsbezirk Kirchheim unter Teck'' (''Weekly Newspaper for the district of Kirchheim unter Teck''). It switched to a daily newspaper in 1869, focusing on the political and cultural life in Kirchheim unter Teck. After the Second World War ban on newspapers ended, it reappeared under the name ''Teck-Rundschau'' in 1949. Since 1968, it has used Ulm-based ''Südwest Presse ''Südwest Presse'' is a German daily newspaper based in Ulm, which is distributed in Ulm, Neu-Ulm, Alb-Donau-Kreis and Landkreis Neu-Ulm. Swabia

Kirchheim unter Teck (, ; Swabian German, Swabian: ''Kircha'') is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in the Esslingen (district), district of Esslingen. It is located on the small river Lauter (Neckar), Lauter, a tributary of the Neckar. It is 10 km (6 miles) near the Burg Teck, Teck castle, approximately southeast of Stuttgart. It is the fourth city in the Esslingen (district), Esslingen district, forming a district centre for the surrounding communities.
