Almost Happy (album)
''Almost Happy'' is the fourth studio album by Belgian rock band K's Choice. Music ''Almost Happy'' was recorded at Real World Studio's, Box, Wiltshire (UK) and published in 2000. Singles were "Almost Happy", "Busy" and "Another Year". The lyrics of this album are more autobiographical than of the previous album ('' Cocoon Crash''). The music is, when compared to earlier work, more melancholy and intimate. The American (2002) version included an additional live CD and was published with another cover, featuring a drawing by band member Gert Bettens, who had also drawn the album covers for the two previous albums. Sam Bettens
Sam Bettens (formerly Sarah Bettens, born September 23, 1972) is a Belgian singer and musician, best known as the lead singer of the Belgian band, K's Choice. In May 2019, he came out as a transgender man. Career K's Choice In the mid-1990s, Bettens formed the band K's Choice with his brother Gert. They are the two best-known faces of the band. The band is popular in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, and has toured in the U.S. with The Verve Pipe, Tonic, Alanis Morissette and the Indigo Girls, as well as on its own. Eric Grossman
Eric Grossman (born November 25, 1964, New York) is an American musician, best known for playing bass and recording gold and platinum albums with the Belgian band K's Choice. Biography Grossman was born in 1964 in New York, the older of two boys. Both of his parents worked in the optical business—his father owned a shop. Grossman attended Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, California, graduating in 1982. He went on to study music theory at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California, but dropped out to focus on his music. It was also at Pierce College that he met Dr. Gerald Eskalin, founder of the L.A. Jazz Choir, with whom he performed in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s he performed in the band Iannello, playing with guitarist Joel Shearer and drummer Jimmy Paxson for six years. It was through Shearer that Grossman connected with K's Choice. "Not an Addict" is a song by Belgian rock band K's Choice from their second studio album, '' Paradise in Me'' (1996). It was written by the band's core members—siblings Gert and Sam (then known as Sarah) Bettens—produced by Jean Blaute, and recorded at Jet Studios in Brussels, Belgium. Double T Music released "Not an Addict" as a single in Belgium in July 1995, and it was issued in other territories between late 1995 and mid-1997. Gert Bettens is a Belgium musician, best known as the guitarist of the Belgian band K's Choice. He, with his brother Sam Bettens, is the face of the band. The band is popular in Europe and had toured in the U.S. with The Verve Pipe, Tonic, Alanis Morissette and the Indigo Girls, as well as on their own. K's Choice
K's Choice is a Belgian rock band from Antwerp, formed in 1994. The band's core members are brothers Sam (lead vocals, guitar) and Gert Bettens (guitar, keyboard, vocals). Since 2014, the Bettenses have been joined by Bart van Lierde (bass), Tom Lodewyckx (lead guitar), Reinout Swinnen (keys) and Wim van der Westen (drums). ''Cocoon Crash'' is the third studio album of the Belgian band K's Choice, released in 1998. Its singles were "Believe", "Everything for Free", and "If You're Not Scared". Musically, it is comparable to their second album, '' Paradise in Me'', though with a generally lighter tone and subject matter.
