Allan Zebie
Allan Hugues Zebie (born May 29, 1993) is a soccer coach and former player. Born in France, Zebie was called up to Canadian youth teams as a player. Early life Zebie was born in Paris, France to parents of Ivorian descent and moved to Lachine, Quebec at age nine, later moving to Brossard, Quebec. He began playing soccer at age six in Paris, and began playing soccer in Canada with Lachine SC. His family then moved to Edmonton when he was 15. He later joined the FC Edmonton Academy. He then headed to Europe, where he trialed with English club Leeds United and Scottish club Rangers. Club career In 2014, he returned to FC Edmonton, where he trained with the first team for the second half of the season. In January 2015, he signed a professional contract with FC Edmonton to play in the North American Soccer League. Albert Watson (footballer, Born 1985)
Albert Watson (born 8 September 1985) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer. Club career Early career Born in Belfast, Watson made his senior-club debut for Ballymena United on 4 December 2001 in a 1–1 draw against Institute, at 16 years of age. He attracted interest from Linfield in February 2008, although any interest concluded when Watson signed a new contract with Ballymena a few days later. In January 2011, Watson made his 300th appearance for the club. In April 2011 he joined Linfield on a two-year contract, during which the team would capture two consecutive Premiership and Irish Cup doubles. 2021 FC Edmonton Season
The 2021 FC Edmonton season was the club's tenth competitive season as well as their third in the Canadian Premier League. Overview The 2021 season was very disappointing for FC Edmonton. Edmonton's average home attendance of 961 was by far the lowest in the league, and the team finished in 7th out of 8 teams. Additionally, the club shut down its academy. However, there were some bright spots, including young Canadian forward Easton Ongaro who became the league's all-time top goalscorer this season, and secured a transfer to Romania after the season ended. 2020 FC Edmonton Season
The 2020 FC Edmonton season was the club's ninth competitive season as well as their second in the Canadian Premier League. In their previous season, FC Edmonton finished 3rd in the Spring season and 6th in the Fall season, failing to qualify for the finals. FC Edmonton celebrated their tenth anniversary by introducing home kits featuring the Roman numeral 'X' on the front and back. The club finished the COVID-19 shortened season in last place, failing to record a win in seven matches. 2019 FC Edmonton Season
The 2019 FC Edmonton season was the eighth season in the club's history, as well as the first season in Canadian Premier League history. Overview After finishing in seventh place in the 2017 NASL season, FC Edmonton discontinued professional operations, but kept their academy. Co-owner Tom Fath stated that the franchise had proved to be unsustainable in the Edmonton market, and the decision was reinforced by the uncertainty surrounding the status of the NASL. Despite these events, there was speculation that the still under construction Canadian Premier League was looking at Edmonton as a potential market. That speculation proved to be correct on June 8, 2018, when it was announced that Edmonton had come out of hiatus and officially joined the new league. 2017 North American Soccer League Season
The 2017 North American Soccer League season was the 50th season of Division II soccer in the United States and Canada, and the 7th season of the modern North American Soccer League. The defending champions are the New York Cosmos who defeated Indy Eleven in Soccer Bowl 2016. Eight clubs played in the NASL after provisional sanctioning by the United States Soccer Federation. Expansion side, San Francisco Deltas joined the league. After the 2016 season, Minnesota United left the league to join Major League Soccer, and the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Ottawa Fury left the league to join the United Soccer League. Bruno Zebie (born August 14, 1995) is a former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. Born in France, Zebie represented Canada at youth level. Early life Zebie was born in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, France, to Ivorian parents. He acquired French nationality on 29 July 1999, through the collective effect of his parents' naturalization. He moved to Lachine, Quebec at age six, later moving to Brossard, Quebec. His family then moved to Edmonton when he was 13. He began playing youth soccer with Edmonton Juventus before joining the FC Edmonton Academy in 2012. In 2016, he joined the Edmonton Green and Gold youth academy. Alan Koch (soccer)
Alan Koch (born 30 April 1975) is a South African soccer coach who is the technical director for Olé Football Academy. Koch is a former South African youth national team player, professional player and coach. He is a graduate of Simon Fraser University where he earned his bachelor's degree. He earned his master's degree from Midwestern State University in 2005. He was previously the head coach of FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer. Early life Koch attended Westville Boys' High School in his native South Africa. He was there selected as the captain of the South African Schoolboys team in 1992. He played for Reservoir Hills United in 1993 and was coached by Professor Ngubane in the OK League which is now known as the Mvela League.
