Allan Moon
Allan Moon ( he, אלן מון) (born January 6, 1976) is a Canadian / Israeli artist, poet, singer-songwriter and producer. Moon was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and grew up in the Upper West Side of New York City. In 1992, Moon emigrated to Tel Aviv, Israel. He currently lives in the north Galilee region of Israel. Music Moon's first music release was a 5-song demo EP in 2006 which included Song of the Wind and a hidden tracked acoustic cover version to Billy Joel's Uptown Girl. The demo paved the way to his first full-length album Song of the Wind. Song of the Wind, was released in 2008 and saw Moon's songwriting as a direct progression from his poetry coupled with country life. The album was characterized by acoustic guitars and Moon's soft, almost breaking voice, reminiscent of Neil Young. Galilee
Galilee (; he, הַגָּלִיל, hagGālīl; ar, الجليل, al-jalīl) is a region located in northern Israel and southern Lebanon. Galilee traditionally refers to the mountainous part, divided into Upper Galilee (, ; , ) and Lower Galilee (, ; , ). Kutiman
Ophir Kutiel ( he, אופיר קותיאל; born April 21, 1982), professionally known as Kutiman, is an Israeli musician, composer, producer and animator. He is best known for creating the online music video project, ''ThruYOU'', a self-titled album, and the viral ongoing series "Thru the City" including his "Mix Tel Aviv" piece, which went viral on YouTube. Background Kutiel was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and grew up in Zichron Yaacov. He commenced piano lessons at the age of six and learned to play drums and guitar at 14. When Kutiel was 18, he moved to Tel Aviv to study jazz at Rimon Music College. Uzi Ramirez
The Uzi (; he, עוזי, Ūzi; officially Letter case, cased as UZI) is a family of Israeli open bolt, open-bolt, blowback (arms), blowback-operated submachine guns and machine pistols first designed by Major Uziel Gal, Uziel "Uzi" Gal in the late 1940s, shortly after the establishment of the State of Israel. It is one of the first weapons to incorporate a telescoping bolt design, which allows the magazine (firearms), magazine to be housed in the pistol grip for a shorter weapon. Geva Alon
Geva Alon ( he, גבע אלון, born 30 May 1979) is an Israeli blues/ folk/rock musician and singer-songwriter. Biography Geva Alon was born and raised in Kibbutz Ma'abarot. He began playing guitar at the age of 12, and in the year 2000 became the founding member of the rock trio ''The Flying Baby'' which achieved relative success in Israel and while touring the US. The band released two albums: ''Inner World'' (2002) and ''Pain to Give'' (2004). In 2004 he joined the Israeli indie rock singer, Shy Nobleman, with whom he played for three years. Alon contributed guitars, writing and vocals to Nobleman's "'' Beautiful Life''" album and sang co-lead vocals on the radio hit ballad "Wonderful". Mashina
Mashina ( he, משינה) is an Israeli rock band which was active from 1983 to 1995, and then again from 2003 to the present. The band is considered by many to be Israel's most important and influential rock band. Their musical style took inspiration from ska and hard rock, among others. History Mashina was formed by singer Yuval Banai, a member of the noted Banai family. His father, the late Yossi, was an actor and singer, as are uncles Gavri and Ya'akov, along with many of Yuval's cousins. During his army service, Banai met guitar player Shlomi Bracha and the two started playing music together. Yuval Banai
Yuval Banay ( he, יוּבַל בַּנַאי; born June 9, 1962) is an Israeli musician, best known as the lead singer of the influential Israeli pop rock band Mashina. Personal life Yuval was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, to Ilana and Yossi Banai. He was one of the more prominent members of the Banai family, which includes many noted entertainers, among them Yuval Banay's uncles Gavri Banai, Ya'akov Banai and Haim Banai (actors) and Yitzhak Banai (judge); his cousins Ehud Banai, Uri Banai, Meir Banai, and Eviatar Banai, all of whom have found success as musicians, and Orna Banai, an actress and comedian. David Kahne is an American record producer, musician, composer, and former record company executive. Professional career Kahne started his musical career as a working musician and soon became Director of A&R for America's first punk and new wave record label, San Francisco's 415 Records; a position he operated out of a closet-sized office upstairs at The Automatt recording studio. He did artist development and in-house production and engineering there for 415 and continued to produce records for artists on the 415 label when he left Automatt to accept a position in Los Angeles as vice president of A&R for Columbia Records. Nick Drake
Nicholas Rodney Drake (19 June 1948 – 25 November 1974) was an English singer-songwriter known for his acoustic guitar-based songs.
