Mashina
Mashina () are an Israeli pop rock band which was active from 1983 to 1995, and then again from 2003 to the present. The band is considered by many to be Israel's most important and influential rock band. Their musical style took inspiration from ska and hard rock, among others. The band was formed in 1983 by lead vocalist Yuval Banai and guitarist Shlomi Bracha. In late 1985, the band released its first album, self-titled, in which, alongside Banai and Bracha, bassist Michael Benson and drummer Iggy Dayan participated. After the album was released, keyboardist Avner Hodorov joined the band, and its lineup has remained unchanged since then. The band achieved great success and popularity, but in 1995 it disbanded. During its farewell performance on July 18 of that year, a tragedy occurred at the Arad Music Festival, where three teenagers waiting for the performance died due to the overcrowding at the entrance. Mashina Vremeni
Mashina Vremeni () is a Russian rock band founded in 1969. Mashina Vremeni was a pioneer of Soviet rock music and remains one of the oldest still-active rock bands in Russia. The band's music incorporates elements of classic rock, blues, and bard's song. Mashina Vremeni's best known members are Andrey Makarevich (founder, principal singer-songwriter, public face of the band), Alexander Kutikov (bass player and producer/sound engineer), and Evgeny Margulis (guitarist/songwriter). History Andrey Makarevich's musical career can be traced to a school band called The Kids, which was made up of two male guitarists and two female vocalists. Yuval Banay
Yuval Banay (; born June 9, 1962) is an Israeli musician, best known as the lead singer of the influential Israeli pop rock band Mashina. Career Banay served in the Artillery Corps of the Israel Defense Forces during the 1982 Lebanon War. While in the military, he met guitarist Shlomi Braha, with whom he formed a band. The two went in different directions after their military service ended, with Banay forming the band ''Shlom Ha-Tzibur'' ("Public Safety"). In 1984, he and Braha decided to form a new band, which they called Mashina. They released their debut album in 1985. Over the next decade, Mashina released several successful albums. In May 1995 the group disbanded after a series of four farewell shows. Shlomi Bracha
Shlomi Bracha (; born March 21, 1962) is an Israeli musician and record producer, best known for being the guitarist and one of the songwriters in the Israeli pop rock band Mashina. Biography Bracha was born on March 21, 1962, in Kiryat Shalom, Tel Aviv, Israel. He met Yuval Banay in 1980 while they were serving together in the Israel Defense Forces, and they formed a band. They split up after their army service, and Bracha formed the group ''HaChazit Ha'amamit'' ("The National Front") with bassist Michael Benson. In 1984 Bracha teamed up again with Banay and with the drummer Iggy Dayan to form the band Mashina. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1985. Rami Fortis (; born July 7, 1954), or simply Fortis, is an Israeli rock singer. Born in Tel Aviv, Fortis became known as a pioneer of Israeli punk rock. His debut album ''Plonter'', released in 1978, was not a commercial success at the time, though today it is considered an influential cult album. His fame in Israel came with the release of a Hebrew language album, ''Sipurim Me'hakufsa (Tales from the Box)'', in 1988. Due to his behaviour on stage he was nicknamed The Madman (HaMeshuga). Apart from his work in music, Rami Fortis served as a judge for the The X Factor Israel (season 1), first season of The X Factor Israel. Orly Silbersatz-Banai (; born ) is an Israeli actress and singer. She has won two Ophir Awards and a prize from the Israeli Academy of Cinema and Television. Early life Orly Silbersatz was born in Israel, to a secular Jewish family of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. Career In 1978 she played the role of "Hohit" (חוחית) in the television program " Zehu Ze!", which soon became a cult phenomenon. Saxophone
The saxophone (often referred to colloquially as the sax) is a type of single-reed woodwind instrument with a conical body, usually made of brass. Kiryat Bialik (, also Qiryat Bialik) is a city in the Haifa District in Israel. The city was established on July 18, 1934, during the Fifth Aliyah. It is one of the five Krayot suburbs to the north of Haifa. In it had a population of . The city was named after the poet Hayim Nahman Bialik.
