''All Hail'' is the eighth studio album by American metalcore band Norma Jean. The album was released on October 25, 2019 through Solid State Records Tooth & Nail Records is a record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in November 1993. The label later moved to Seattle where it is today. History Brandon Ebel and Michael Knott conceived the label as a joint venture, before Knott backe ..., the band's sixth overall release on the label. Norma Jean (formerly known as Luti-Kriss) is an American metalcore band from Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta. Formed in 1997, the band has evolved through various lineup changes, resulting in no original members remaining. To date, Norma Jean has released nine studio albums and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2006 for Grammy Award for Best Recording Package, Best Recording Package for their second album ''O' God, the Aftermath''. Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Matthew Putman (musician)
Matthew Putman is an American drummer based in Arkansas. He is best known for being a member of the bands Norma Jean (band), Norma Jean, Unwed Sailor, Living Sacrifice, and Lovedrug, as well as his work as a producer and engineer. Career Putman began his career in 1996 when he formed the mathcore band Eso-Charis in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Fort Smith, Arkansas with his brother Cory Brandan Putman, who later went on to join Norma Jean (band), Norma Jean. When Eso-Charis disbanded in 1998, Putman joined the heavy metal music, heavy metal band Living Sacrifice from 1998 to 2003, playing percussion on their seminal albums ''The Hammering Process'' and ''Conceived in Fire''. In 2002, Putman joined the indie rock band Unwed Sailor. He appeared on the albums The Marionette and the Music Box, The White Ox, White Ox, and Little Wars (album), Little Wars. Cory Brandan Putman (born April 11, 1976) is an American singer who has been the lead vocalist for the metalcore band Norma Jean since 2004. Career Brandan is a former member of bands Eso-Charis, Living Sacrifice, The Handshake Murders, and Uses Fire, and a current member of the bands Norma Jean, Fear is the Driving Force and The Radio Sky. He was one of the founding members of Mathcore band Eso-Charis, along with his brother, Matthew Putman and Arthur Green who eventually went on to join the band Living Sacrifice. He played guitar for a tour through Norway and Sweden with Living Sacrifice, before being replaced by Rocky Gray (who would go on to play drums in Evanescence and guitar in Soul Embraced). Brandan then toured with and later joined Norma Jean permanently as their lead vocalist, replacing former vocalist Josh Scogin. Silent Planet is an American metalcore band formed in Azusa, California, in 2009. Their name is derived from C. S. Lewis' science fiction novel '' Out of the Silent Planet''.
