Ali İhsan Karayiğit
Ali İhsan Karayiğit (1927 – 18 March 2013) was a Turkish international association football player. He is most known for his spell at Beşiktaş. Career Karayiğit started to play football in Salihli district of Manisa. He joined Beşiktaş in 1948. Karayiğit was a party of unbeaten Beşiktaş squad between 1949 and 1950, known as ''"Yenilmez Armada"'' in Turkey. He retired his playing career following his spell at Adalet S.K., in 1960. Following his retirement from active football, he served Beşiktaş J.K. as youth section trainer and member of club's Executive Council. He also worked as a sports columnist. Salihli
Salihli is a municipality and district of Manisa Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,359 km2, and its population is 165,182 (2023). The ancient Lydian capitals of Sardes and Daldis are located within Salihli. Geography The city of Salihli, which is also the seat of the district, is located on the İzmir-Ankara (E-96) highway, and it's parallel railway connections. The urban centre is situated on the slopes of the Bozdağ mountain chain along the southern alluvial plains of the Gediz River. To the north and northeast of the plain extends two other mountain ranges, Mount Dibek (highest altitude 1120 m) and Mount Üşümüş (highest altitude 1085 m). The town lies at an altitude of 125 meters from sea level. 1951 Turkish Football Championship
The 1951 Turkish Football Championship was the 16th and last edition of the competition. It was held in May. Beşiktaş won their fifth national championship title by winning the Final Group in Balıkesir. The champions of the three major regional leagues (Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir) qualified directly for the Final Group. Adana Demirspor qualified by winning the qualification play-off, which was contested by the winners of the regional qualification groups. When Turkish football became officially professional on 24 September 1951, the competition continued under the name Turkish Amateur Football Championship, with only amateur teams participating. However, from that year on it was no longer the first tier football championship in Turkey. History and profile ''Milliyet'' came to publishing life at the Nuri Akça press in Babıali, Istanbul as a daily private newspaper on 3 May 1950. Its owner was Ali Naci Karacan.
