Bruns grew up in Saraland, Alabama, and attended UMS-Wright Preparatory School. He was named Alabama's Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year and Mr. Baseball as a senior after going 7–0 with a 0.86 ERA and 102 strikeouts and just 13 hits and six earned runs allowed in 49 innings pitched. He committed to play college baseball at Mississippi State. Bruns was selected 29th overall in the 2021 Major League Baseball draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Minor League Baseball (MiLB) is a professional baseball organization below Major League Baseball (MLB), constituted of teams affiliated with MLB clubs. Sebastian Telfair (born June 9, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player. He has played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Chinese Basketball Association. Telfair was picked thirteenth overall in the 2004 NBA draft by the Portland Trail Blazers on the heels of an eminent high school career playing for Abraham Lincoln in Brooklyn. Stephon Marbury
Stephon Xavier Marbury (born February 20, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player who was also the head coach for the Beijing Royal Fighters of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) from 2019–2023. After his freshman year with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, he was selected as the 4th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, but was traded shortly thereafter to the Minnesota Timberwolves. A two-time All-Star and two-time member of the All-NBA Team, Marbury played in the NBA from 1996 until 2009. He then played in the CBA until his retirement in 2018. 2023 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2023 Major League Baseball draft took place on July 9–11, 2023, in Seattle. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. For the first time, a draft lottery was used to set a portion of the draft order. The first six selections were set via the lottery, with picks belonging to the remaining lottery participants set in reverse order of regular season winning percentage. To complete the first round, playoff teams selected in an order that combined postseason finish, revenue sharing status, and reverse order of winning percentage. Reverse order of regular season winning percentage and postseason finish was used to set the draft order for rounds two through 20. The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL or Cape League) is a collegiate summer baseball wooden bat league located on Cape Cod in the U.S. state of Massachusetts.
