were arrested early on April 20, 2007, and charged with felony possession of a weapon. The arrest was preceded by a traffic stop prompted when Telfair was spotted driving his 2006 Range Rover at on the

Both Telfair and Eden claimed to not have any knowledge of the firearm. Police had yet to determine the registration status of the handgun.
In September 2008, Telfair pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and received three years' probation. In October 2008, the NBA handed him a three-game suspension following the guilty plea.
On June 11, 2017, Telfair and another man were arrested on weapons and marijuana-related charges during a traffic stop in Brooklyn. Police pulled them over for driving without headlights on and illegally parking. Inside the vehicle, officers spotted a lit

projects where he was raised. In April 2019, following a two-week trial, Telfair was found guilty of felonious weapons possession, On August 12, 2019, he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for the offense. The case is currently on appeal.

Darius Miles, were arrested on charges alleging they defrauded the league's health and welfare benefit plan out of about $4 million. According to the indictment, the former players engaged in a widespread scheme to defraud the plan by submitting false and fraudulent claims to get reimbursed for medical and dental expenses that were never actually incurred.
