Alarm In The Mountains
''Alarm in the Mountains'' (Romanian: ''Alarmă în munți'') is a 1955 Romanian action film directed by Dinu Negreanu. In the Romanian countryside, the poor are threatened by bandits organised by the former owners of the lands who have been dispossessed by the communists. In a mountainous area, border guards are confronted by parachuted spies who want to recover and take over the border several secret documents of a forestry plant. Amza Pellea
Amza Pellea (; 7 April 1931 – 12 December 1983) was a Romanian actor noted for playing Romanian national heroes on film. He was born in Băilești, Oltenia, and attended the Carol I High School in Craiova. He later played at the Craiova Theatre, then at the Small Theatre, the Nottara Theatre, the Comedy Theatre, and the National Theatre in Bucharest, and also was a professor at the Academy of Theatre and Film in Bucharest. Pellea played numerous comic and serious roles. In cinema he was most noted for his roles portraying historical leaders. His earliest leading roles were as Romanian national heroes, beginning with Decebalus in ''Dacii'' (1967) and ''Columna'' (1968). He also portrayed Michael the Brave in '' Mihai Viteazul'' (1971). His most famous comic role was as "Nea Mărin" (Uncle Marin), a character representing the archetypal Oltenian peasant. Mărin first appeared in TV comedy sketches. Iurie Darie (; 14 March 1929 – 9 November 2012) was a Romanian actor. Biography He was born in Vadul-Rașcov, Soroca County, Kingdom of Romania. He studied at the Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest, graduating in 1952. He made his film debut in 1953, playing Miron in '' The Bugler's Grandsons''. In 2002, Darie received the National Order of Faithful Service with the rank of Knight for his prestigious artistic career. During his last years Darie suffered from several health problems, including respiratory and cardiac insufficiency and also a stroke. He died on 9 November 2012, aged 83, in Bucharest, surrounded by his family. He was buried in the city's Sfânta Vineri Cemetery. Romulus Bărbulescu (October 27, 1925, Sulina – February 9, 2010, Bucharest) was a Romanian science-fiction writer. In 1963, Bărbulescu published "Constellations from the Waters," the first of 10 science fiction novels that established him and his co-author, George Anania, as pioneers of the genre in Romania. They drew their inspiration from Russian writers like Ivan Efremov or Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, or the Polish author Stanislaw Lem.
