Alan Roberts (broadcaster)
Alan Price-Roberts or Alan Roberts (born 19 July 1946) is an English radio presenter, producer and actor. Broadcasting career Originally from Marlow, Buckinghamshire, Roberts was the station programme director with The Voice of Peace during a journey through the Suez Canal in January 1977. Founded by Jewish businessman Abie Nathan, the "Peace Ship" broadcast highly successfully to millions of Israeli and Arab listeners from the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Tel Aviv. It was staffed by a multi-national group of mainly Christian DJs and crew members, and gave several young broadcasters their first taste of radio. He first started broadcasting on British radio in 1977 at BBC Radio Oxford, one of a generation of British broadcasters that included Timmy Mallett, David Freeman, Martin Stanford, Garry Richardson, Guy Michelmore and Peter Grant. A radio producer oversees the making of a radio show. The job title covers several different job descriptions: *Content producers or executive producers oversee and orchestrate a radio show or feature. John Sachs
John Sachs (born 3 May 1957) is a British television presenter, voiceover and commentator. He narrated the original series of ''Gladiators'', and was a longtime DJ on London's radio station Capital London. Sachs spent 12 years on Capital FM, where he won Variety Club ILR Presenter of the Year and Silver at the World Radio awards in New York. He has also worked at Jazz FM, BBC Radio 2, and Y100 in Florida, United States. Martin Barry Kelner is a British journalist, author, comedian, singer, actor and TV presenter, whose primary career is in radio presenting. Bernard "Benny" Green (9 December 1927 – 22 June 1998) was a British jazz saxophonist who was also known for his radio shows and books. Early life His parents were David and Fanny Green. David was a tailor and saxophonist. They met while David was playing with a band in Leeds. They married in London in 1926 and initially lived with David's father, an immigrant Russian-Jewish tailor, at 1 Greenwell Street, London. Benny Green was born in Leeds because his mother wanted to be near her own family for the birth, but they soon returned to London, to a basement flat in Cleveland Street.
