Alan Pattillo
Alan Huchison Pattillo (17 July 1929 – 16 January 2020) was a British writer and director who worked on ''Supercar'', ''Fireball XL5'', ''Stingray'', and '' Thunderbirds'' television series. He won an Emmy in 1979 alongside Bill Blunden for his film editing on ''All Quiet on the Western Front''. Pattillo died on 16 January 2020 at the age of 90 from complications of Parkinson's disease. Early life Pattillo was born on 17 July 1929 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He had an older brother, John (1924 - 2022), who was a medical practitioner. Career During the 1960s, Pattillo worked on several Gerry Anderson projects. He directed episodes of ''Four Feather Falls'', ''Supercar'' and ''Fireball XL5''. His work on the latter is regarded as having brought added sophistication to the direction of the series. ''The Wall'' is the eleventh studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 30 November 1979 by Harvest/EMI and Columbia/CBS Records. Alan Parker
Sir Alan William Parker (14 February 1944 – 31 July 2020) was an English film director, screenwriter and producer. His early career, beginning in his late teens, was spent as a copywriter and director of television advertisements. After about ten years of filming adverts, many of which won awards for creativity, he began screenwriting and directing films. Parker was known for using a wide range of filmmaking styles and working in differing genres. Walkabout (film)
''Walkabout'' is a 1971 adventure survival film directed by Nicolas Roeg and starring Jenny Agutter, Luc Roeg, and David Gulpilil. Edward Bond wrote the screenplay, which is loosely based on the 1959 novel by James Vance Marshall. It centres on two white schoolchildren who are left to fend for themselves in the Australian Outback and who come across a teenage Aboriginal boy who helps them to survive. Roeg's second feature film, ''Walkabout'' was released internationally by 20th Century Fox, and was one of the first films in the Australian New Wave cinema movement. ''Performance'' (stylised in promotional material as ''performance.'') is a 1970 British crime drama film directed by Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg, written by Cammell and filmed by Roeg. The film stars James Fox as a violent and ambitious London gangster who, after killing an old friend, goes into hiding at the home of a reclusive rock star (Mick Jagger). The film was produced in 1968 but not released until 1970, as Warner Bros. was reluctant to distribute the film, owing to its sexual content and graphic violence. A sound editor is a creative professional responsible for selecting and assembling sound recordings in preparation for the final sound mixing or mastering of a television program, motion picture, video game, or any production involving recorded or synthetic sound.
