Alaa El Din Abdul Halim El Baba ( ar, علاء الدين عبد الحليم البابا; born 18 April 1993), simply known as Alaa El Baba ( ar, علاء البابا, links=no), is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a striker for club Tadamon Sour. Club career Ansar 2016–2019: Early career El Baba joined Ansar in 2016 on a three-year contract. On 9 July 2019, El Baba announced his decision to retire from football, stating that "his current goal is to return to his working life and focus on building a future for himself and his family". However, on 21 August El Baba retracted his decision. 2019–20: Loan to Safa On 22 August 2019, El Baba moved on a one-year loan to Safa from Ansar. Prior to the loan move, El Baba renewed his contract with Ansar for a further year, with the contract due to expire in 2020. 2020–21 season On 15 August 2020, El Baba signed a three-year contract with Ansar. Tadamon Sour SC
Tadamon Sour Sporting Club ( ar, نادي التضامن الرياضي صور, lit=Solidarity Sporting Club Tyre), or simply Tadamon, is a football club based in Tyre, Lebanon, that competes in the . They play their home matches at the Tyre Municipal Stadium, and have won one Lebanese FA Cup and two Lebanese Challenge Cups. History In 1939, a group of students from Tyre, Lebanon, established a football team, which officially received its license in 1947. Due to the 1948 Palestinian exodus, a number of Palestinian players joined Tadamon Sour. The team played numerous games in Syria and Jordan, and hosted Egyptian club Al Ahly in Tyre. The Lebanese First Division ( ar, الدوري اللبناني الدرجة الأولى), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. There are 12 teams competing in the league, which operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Lebanese Second Division. The league's first season began in May 1934, with Nahda winning the first title. Lebanese Super Cup
The Lebanese Super Cup () is Lebanese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Lebanese Premier League season and the holders of the Lebanese FA Cup. If the Lebanese Premier League champions also won the Lebanese FA Cup then the league runners-up provide the opposition.
