Tadamon Sporting Club Sour (), known as Tadamon Sour or simply Tadamon, is a football club based in Tyre, Lebanon, that competes in the , and is primarily supported by the Shia Muslim community. They play their home matches at the Tyre Municipal Stadium, and have won one Lebanese FA Cup and two Lebanese Challenge Cups. History In 1939, a group of students from Tyre, Lebanon, established a football team, which officially received its license in 1947. Due to the 1948 Palestinian expulsion and flight, a number of Palestinian players joined Tadamon Sour. The team played numerous games in Syria and Jordan, and hosted Egyptian club Al Ahly in Tyre. In 1991 Tadamon Sour finished runners-up in the Lebanese Second Division, and were promoted to the Lebanese Premier League. In 2000–01 they won the Lebanese FA Cup, beating Ansar 2–1 in the final. South Governorate
South Governorate (, or simply ) is one of the governorates of Lebanon, with a population of 590,000 inhabitants and an area of 929.6 km2. The capital is Sidon. Lebanese Elite Cup
The Lebanese Elite Cup () was a Lebanese football annual cup competition contested by the top six teams of the previous Lebanese Premier League season. Founded in 1996 as the Super League Cup, the first edition was played by the top five finishers of the league and the Lebanese FA Cup winners. The most successful club in the competition is Nejmeh was 12 titles, followed by Ahed with six. The competition was suspended in 2023, alongside the Lebanese Challenge Cup, and was replaced by the Lebanese Federation Cup. Lebanese Federation Cup
The Lebanese Federation Cup () is an annual cup competition in men's domestic football in Lebanon. Organised by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), it serves as the domestic league cup to the Lebanese Premier League and is contested before the start of each league season. The cup was first held in 1969, with Al Shabiba Mazraa Beirut, Shabiba Mazraa winning its first edition. After having been played in 1972, the Lebanese Federation Cup was halted for 27 years, before being contested in 1999. It was played twice more, in 2000 and 2004, before being halted once again until 2023. Haitham Zein
Haitham Ali Mohamad Al Haj Ali Zein (; born 6 January 1979), or simply Haitham Zein, is a Lebanese former footballer who played as a forward. He played for numerous Lebanese Premier League clubs, mainly at Tadamon Sour, and represented Lebanon internationally. Early life Zein was born in Iraq to parents from Borj Ech Chemali, Lebanon; he began playing football aged 11 in the streets of the Al-Anbar Governorate. He then moved to Lebanon with his family due to the Gulf War. Club career Tadamon Sour Zein signed for Tadamon Sour's youth team in 1994. Roda Antar
Roda Abdelhassan Antar (; born 12 September 1980) is a Lebanese professional football manager and former player. Formerly captain of Lebanon, Antar scored 20 goals for his country as a midfielder. Antar started his career with Tadamon Sour, progressing through their youth system to the first-team squad where he made his debut at the age of 17. In 2001, he was loaned to Germany's Hamburger SV for two seasons, winning the DFB-Ligapokal in 2003, before moving to SC Freiburg in 2003 on a permanent deal. In 2007, he moved to 1. Faisal Antar
Faisal Abdelhassan Antar (; born 20 December 1978) is a Lebanese former footballer who played as a defender. He played his entire career in the Lebanese Premier League, for Tadamon Sour, Olympic Beirut, Nejmeh, and Mabarra. Antar also represented the Lebanese national team at the 2000 AFC Asian Cup, where he had been present for the national team from 1998 to 2007. Faisal is the brother of former footballer Roda Antar. Nasrat Al Jamal
Nasrat Zaki Al Jamal (; born 1 July 1980) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for club Okhwa Kharayeb. Club career Al Jamal began his career at Lebanese Premier League side Tadamon Sour during the 1998–99 season, with whom he stayed until the 2003–04 season. He helped his side win their first Lebanese FA Cup in 2000–01. In 2004 Al Jamal joined Ansar; he suffered an injury in November 2004, having to undergo surgery. 2000 AFC Asian Cup
The 2000 AFC Asian Cup was the 12th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The finals were held in Lebanon between 12 and 29 October 2000. Japan defeated defending champion Saudi Arabia in the final match in Beirut. Qualification 42 teams participated in a preliminary tournament. It was divided into 10 groups and the first-placed team of each group thus qualified.
