Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club (), simply known as Al-Hilal, is a professional multi-sports club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Their football team competes in the Saudi Pro League. In Arabic, Al-Hilal means "the Crescent Moon". Founded on 16 October 1957, Al-Hilal are one of three teams to have participated in all seasons of the Saudi Pro League since its establishment in 1976. They are the most decorated club in Asia, winning 70 official trophies. The Asian Super Cup was an annual football competition between the winners of the Asian Club Championship and the Asian Cup Winners' Cup. The competition started in 1995, but came to an end in 2002 after both major AFC tournaments were merged into the AFC Champions League.
