Al-Hedod Sports Club () is an Football in Iraq, Iraqi professional sports club based in Falastin Street, East Districts of the Tigris River, Baghdad. It has teams in various sports including Association football, football, basketball, Jujutsu, kickboxing and wrestling. The best known section of the club are the Jujutsu, kickboxing and wrestling teams who play in the Arab and Asian tournaments as representatives of Iraq. Al-Saher Ahmed Radhi Stadium
Al-Saher Ahmed Radhi Stadium () is a multi-use stadium in Baghdad, Iraq. It is used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and serves as the home stadium of Al-Karkh SC. The stadium holds 5,150 people. Etymology Originally called Al-Mansour Local Administration Stadium, it was renamed Al-Rasheed Stadium when Al-Rasheed SC took over the ground in 1984. It became known as Al-Karkh Stadium after Al-Karkh replaced the dissolved Al-Rasheed in the top division in 1990. Iraqi Premier League
The Iraq Stars League (), is the highest level of the Iraqi football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Iraqi Premier Division League. It is governed by the Iraqi Pro League Association. The league was formed by the Iraq Football Association in 1974 as the Iraqi National Clubs League, the first nationwide league of clubs in Iraq, and later became known as the Iraqi Premier League. In 2023, the competition was rebranded as the Iraq Stars League and transitioned into a fully professional competition. The current format sees 20 teams playing 38 matches each (playing each team in the league twice, home and away), totalling 380 matches in the season. Of the 80 teams to have competed since the inception of the league in 1974, eleven have won the title. Arnold Temanfo (born 8 June 1993) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya. Career Temanfo is a youth product of the academies of Red Star F.C., Antony Sport, Entente SSG, Châteauroux, Real Zaragoza and Paris FC. He began his senior career in amateur clubs in France with La Rochelle in 2012. Hasan Bassem Srour (; born 18 December 2001) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Iraq Stars League club Al-Hudood and the Lebanon national team. Club career Coming through the youth system, Srour began his senior career at Ahed in the Lebanese Premier League. The Iraq Cup (), commonly known as the Iraq FA Cup, is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout association football, football competition in men's domestic Football in Iraq, Iraqi football organised by the Iraq Football Association. First held in the 1948–49 season for clubs and institutions, it returned in the 1975–76 season as a clubs-only competition. The tournament usually begins with several rounds played between lower division clubs, twelve of which advance to the Round of 32, where the Iraq Stars League clubs are entered. This is followed by the Round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final which is played as a single leg in Baghdad. 2020–21 Iraqi Premier League
The 2020–21 Iraqi Premier League was the 47th season of the Iraqi Premier League since its establishment in 1974. The season started on 25 October 2020 and ended on 28 July 2021, with the relegation play-off held on 30 July 2021. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya sealed their seventh Premier League title with three matches to spare, finishing ahead of Al-Zawraa and Al-Najaf.
