Al-Aziziya Sport Club (), is an Iraqi football team based in Al-Aziziya, Wasit, that plays in Iraqi Third Division League. Stadium On June 15, 2019, the Ministry of Youth and Sports opened the Al-Aziziyah Stadium, with a capacity of 5,000 spectators, and the opening match was held between the former Iraq national football team stars and the former Wasit players team. Other sporting events were held, and performances were presented for the taekwondo team and athletics for men and women.. Al-Aziziyah Stadium
Al-Aziziyah Stadium (Arabic: ملعب العزيزية) is a multi-use stadium in Wasit, Iraq. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium of Al-Aziziyah SC. It also has facilities for athletics. The stadium holds 5,000 people. Iraqi Third Division League
The Iraqi Third Division League is a football league that is the fifth tier of the Iraqi football league system. The league was established in 2024. League format Each team can register up to 25 players in their squad list, and each club is required to have a formal establishment licence issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The format of the league for the inaugural 2024–25 season is as follows: First stage Teams are split into 18 regional tournaments in accordance with the 18 governorates of Iraq. Each tournament is organised by the Iraq Football Association's sub-branch in that governorate (except for the tournament in Baghdad which is organised by the IFA Competitions Committee). Wasit Governorate () is a governorate in eastern Iraq, south-east of Baghdad and bordering Iran. Prior to 1976 it was known as Kut Province. Major cities include the capital Al-Kut, Al-Hai and Al-Suwaira. The governorate contains the Mesopotamian Marshes of Shuwayja, Al-Attariyah, and Hor Aldelmj. 2000–01 Iraqi Elite League
The 2000–01 Iraqi Elite League was the 27th season of the competition since its foundation in 1974. The name of the league was changed from ''Iraqi First Division League'' to ''Iraqi Elite League''. Instead of relegating teams from the 1999–2000 season and promoting teams from the lower division in order to decide which teams were playing in the competition, the Iraq Football Association decided that every eligible team in the country should play qualifying games in order to decide who participated. The qualifying rounds saw a total of 135 teams being split into regional groups, all competing for the 16 places in the league. After all the qualifiers were over in December, the league competition itself was held with each team playing 30 matches. 2002–03 Iraq FA Cup
The 2002–03 Iraq FA Cup was the 25th edition of the Iraq FA Cup as a club competition, the main domestic cup in Iraqi football. It kicked off on 2 September 2002, and the final was played on 23 August 2003 at the Franso Hariri Stadium in Erbil. Al-Talaba were the defending champions of the cup having beaten Al-Shorta 1–0 in the 2002 final, and the same was repeated in 2003 as Al-Talaba beat Al-Shorta 1–0 again to earn their second title. The competition was halted for more than six months after the quarter-finals due to the American invasion of Iraq, but the Iraq Football Association decided to complete the tournament, reducing the semi-finals to a single leg and moving the remaining matches to the safer northern city of Erbil.
