Libertarian Party Of Ontario
The Ontario Libertarian Party (OLP; ) is a minor libertarian party in the Canadian province of Ontario. Founded in 1975 by Bruce Evoy and Vince Miller, the party was inspired by the 1972 formation of the United States Libertarian Party. The party is guided by a charter of principles, and its own Ontario charter of rights and freedoms. In the 2018 Ontario general election, the Libertarian Party ran a candidate in a majority of the province's electoral districts. Jacques Boudreau was appointed interim party leader in March 2021, replacing the departing leader Keith Komar. In October 2021, Mark Snow was elected leader at the Party's convention. Joe Dickson (March26, 1940April6, 2022) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2007 to 2018 who represented the riding of Ajax—Pickering. Background Dickson was born and raised in Ajax, Ontario. He was the owner of a printing business, Dickson Printing Ltd. Dickson was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He supports 22 Ajax-Pickering area sports teams. He lived in Ajax with his wife Donna. They have two adult children and five grandchildren. He died April 7, 2022. Rod Phillips (politician)
Rod Phillips is a Canadian businessman and former politician who was the member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Ajax from 2018 to 2022. A member of the Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) Party, Phillips served as Ontario's minister of the environment, conservation and parks from 2018 to 2019, minister of finance from 2019 to 2020, and minister of long-term care from 2021 to 2022. Phillips ran for MPP in the 2018 provincial election, following which his PC Party would form government. Premier Doug Ford named him environment minister, before promoting him to the finance portfolio, succeeding Vic Fedeli.
