Ramlal Joshi
Ramlal Joshi is a Nepalese writer and educator from Dhangadi. In 2016, he won the Madan Puraskar for his short–story collection, '' Aina''. Joshi is a resident of Dhangadhi city in Kailali district of Sudurpashchim province. Previously, he had been a political activist, a journalist and a teacher. The Madan Puraskar () is a literary honor in Nepal which Madan Puraskar Guthi confers annually for an outstanding book in the Nepali language published within the calendar year. It is considered as the most prestigious literature award in Nepal. It is awarded on the day of Dashain#Day 1: Ghatasthapana, Ghatasthapana every year alongside Jagadamba Shree Puraskar. History The award was established by daughter in law of Prime Minister Chandra Shumsher JBR, Queen Jagadamba Kumari Devi, in memory of her husband late General Madan Shumsher JBR, on 26 September 1955. ''Ghazal'' is a form of amatory poem or ode, originating in Arabic poetry that often deals with topics of spiritual and romantic love. It may be understood as a poetic expression of both the pain of loss, or separation from the beloved, and the beauty of love in spite of that pain. The ghazal form is ancient, tracing its origins to 7th-century Arabic poetry. The Far-Western Development Region () was one of Nepal's five Development Regions of Nepal, development regions. It was located at the western end of the country and had its headquarters in Dipayal.
