Agrotikos Asteras Stadium
Dimitris Kontikakis Stadium otherwise known as Gipedo Evosmou is a football stadium located in the suburb of Evosmos Evosmos ( el, Εύοσμος, ''Évosmos''; before 1955: ''Neos Koukloutzas'' (Νέος Κουκλουτζάς, ''Néos Koukloutzás'')) is a suburb of the Thessaloniki Urban Area and was a former municipality in the regional unit of Thessaloniki ... in Thessaloniki, Greece. History Built and opened in 1950, it can hold up to 2267 spectators. On one occasion, a record 4067 fans were seated within the precinct in 1979. Two new platforms were constructed in 1994. To honor former chairman Dimitris Kontikakis, the club board decided to change the stadium's name to Dimitris Kontikakis Stadium. Improvements and maintenance work were done to the stadium to preserve it for the upcoming 2015–16 season. Evosmos
Evosmos ( el, Εύοσμος, ''Évosmos''; before 1955: ''Neos Koukloutzas'' (Νέος Κουκλουτζάς, ''Néos Koukloutzás'')) is a suburb of the Thessaloniki Urban Area and was a former municipality in the regional unit of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kordelio-Evosmos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It has a land area of and its population is 74,686 (2011 census). Due to rapid development, the population has been growing fast. Most of the new development is taking place in the northern district of the municipality called Nea Politeia (New Town). History Evosmos' first dramatic increase in population occurred when refugees from Asia Minor settled in the area in the early 20th century.
