Agniveena
G-Series is a major Bangladeshi record label. The company produces and publishes cassettes, CDs, VCDs, and DVDs of dramas, telefilms, movies, and music. It is one of the largest such companies in Bangladesh. The owner of the company is Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan, popularly known as Khaled. The Daily Star described it a major record label in Bangladesh. History G-Series was established in 1983 by Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan. In 2006, Agniveena production was founded as a sister concern of G-Series. G-series is named after the famous book of poems, ''Gitanjali'' of Rabindranath Tagore. In 2007, G-Series was seeing a decline in the sale of compact disks due to piracy. In 2010, for the Eid market, G-series and Agniveena, its sister concern, released 30 albums. The same year the company partnered with BBC World Service Trust to launch BBC Janala on CD. Shantanu Biswas
Shantanu Biswas (25 October 1954 – 12 July 2019) was a Bangladeshi dramatist, playwright, stage director, singer-songwriter and composer. He has written and directed several full-length plays between 1975 and 2019, where he performed as an actor in more than sixteen plays. His major successes include ''Informer'' (1982), and ''Julius Ceasar er Shesh Shaat Din'' (''The Last Seven Days of Julius Caesar'') (1987). Born in Chittagong (now Chattogram), Biswas spent his whole life in the port city, where he struggled to establish himself as a dramatist and musician. He has released five solo and two mixed albums. He made his debut album ''Chirkut'' in 2009. His last solo ''Sritir Shohore'' was released posthumously in 2019 by G-Series. His music as blended with modern poetry, and lyrics with diverse tunes covering different genres of world music. Fuad Al Muqtadir
Fuad Almuqtadir is a Bangladeshi-American composer and arranger. Early life Fuad left Bangladesh in 1988 to New York city with his family. Fuad grew up with the NRB community of New York City where he learned about Bangladeshi culture and music. Career Fuad’s first full-length album was the self-released Maya in 1998, which shot him to underground popularity in the diaspora. His next album, Re/Evolution, was released by Aarshi Records in 2003. Featuring dancehall, R&B, hip hop, and pop styles and artists from 6 countries across 3 continents, this album established Fuad as one of Bangladesh’s most promising producers along with peers like Habib Wahid and Arnob. Shironamhin
Shironamhin (English: ''Untitled'') is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 14 April 1996. Following as a rock group emerging from Dhaka's underground music in the late 1990s, they were distinguished for their extended psychedelic and progressive compositions, multi-instrumental experimentation, and philosophical lyrics and became one of the leading band of the Bengali progressive rock genre. In 2008, the band became a member of the Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA). Shironamhin were founded by students Ziaur Rahman (guitar), Jewel (guitar) and Bulbul Hasan (vocals). Vocalist Tanzir Tuhin joined in 2002 as a fourth member of the band. Aurthohin is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1998 by Sumon (musician), Saidus Sumon (vocals and bass guitar), Tonmoy Rahman (lead guitar), Ponir (rhythm guitar) and Rumi Rahman (drums and percussion). They are considered to be one of the pioneering bands in Bangladeshi alternative rock music.
