Afi Aminuddin
Muhammad 'Afi bin Aminuddin is a Bruneian footballer who plays as a defender for Brunei Super League club Kasuka. Club career Afi attended Brunei Sports School, the institution that also produced Brunei international footballers such as Azwan Ali Rahman and Hazwan Hamzah. He was drafted into professional club DPMM FC playing in the Singapore league in 2010, but due to the ban imposed by FIFA on Brunei he was sent on loan to Indera SC along with five other players. Afi signed full terms with Indera not long after and has won two league championships with them. After four seasons, he transferred to Kota Ranger FC. He scored his first goal for the Rangers in the penultimate game of the season, a 1-1 draw with MS PDB on 18 February 2018. He was appointed club captain from the 2018-19 season, then led the team to winning the 2018-19 Brunei FA Cup on 22 April 2019 in a 2–1 victory. Chinese Taipei National Football Team
The Chinese Taipei national football team represents Taiwan (the Republic of China) in international football and is controlled by the Chinese Taipei Football Association. The 2012 AFF Championship qualification tournament was the qualification process for the 2012 AFF Championship, the ninth edition of the ASEAN Football Championship. It was held in Yangon, Myanmar from 5 to 13 October 2012, and involved the five lower ranked teams in Southeast Asia. Brunei made a comeback, after being re-instated towards the end of May 2011 by FIFA, following their suspension since September 2009. While the Philippines were one of the six seeded teams and gained direct entry to the main tournament, after reaching the semi-finals for the first time in the 2010 edition. 2012 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy
The 2012 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy was the fourth edition of the invitational tournament hosted by Brunei. The tournament took place in Brunei between 25 February and 5 March 2012. The competition is for players under the age of 22 and is being held only for the fourth time after 2002, 2005 and 2007. The tournament was not held in 2009 following the suspension imposed on the Brunei Amateur Football Association (BAFA) by FIFA. The organisers of the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy 2012 have offered US$15,500 as reward for the champions. It was opened to football players from ASEAN member states under the age of 21 years to participate in this. The 2023 Brunei Super League is the ninth season of the Brunei Super League, the top league in Brunei for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2012. The league began on 3 March and will conclude in February 2024, with 16 teams playing home and away.
