2023 Brunei Super League
The 2023 Brunei Super League was the ninth season of the Brunei Super League, the top association football, football league in Brunei since its establishment in 2012. The league began in March and concluded in November, contested by 16 teams. On 15 September 2023, the league was announced to have a premature conclusion due to insufficient funds as announced by Football Association of Brunei Darussalam, FABD in a press release. The table on 17 November after all teams have played 16 matches became the final standing of the league. After being unbeaten in 16 games Kasuka FC became the champions of the league. Teams For this season, the number of teams will be restored to 16. DPMM FC will not be participating due to their imminent re-entry into the Singapore Premier League. Kasuka FC
Kasuka Football Club () is a Brunei professional association football, football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan that currently plays in the Brunei Super League, the domestic top-tier competition. History Early days (1993–1998) Due to the demand from the residents of Sungai Kedayan, Kampong Sungai Kedayan to play in the district league, Kasuka was founded in 1993. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the club enjoyed a great deal of success. For the 1997–98 season, they won the Brunei-Muara District League and added the Police Cup (PRG) and Mukim Berakas Cup (Perbekal) to their collection of victories. Rosanan Samak
Haji Mohammad Rosanan bin Abdullah Samak (born 18 July 1965) is a Bruneian football coach and former player, who played as a striker most notably with the Brunei team that played in the Malaysian league in the 1990s. He was a member of the team that won the 1999 Malaysia Cup, which is regarded as Brunei football's crowning achievement. Club and coaching career Rosanan started his career with the Bruneian team Kota Ranger FC, the team won the domestic championship in 1987 and participated in that year's Asian Champions' Cup (an early edition of the AFC Champions League). Kota Ranger also won the BAFA-Standard Chartered Football League in 1992 and Rosanan was the top scorer. At the turn of the decade, he was selected to play for the Brunei team competing in Liga Semi-Pro Malaysia. Zulkefly Duraman
Zulkefly bin Duraman (born 5 August 1982) is a Bruneian former footballer and current coach who played as a defender. He played for the Brunei representative team that participated in the Malaysian leagues, and predominantly Wijaya FC. He is currently head coach of Kota Ranger FC. Club career Zulkefly played for Wijaya FC since the formation of the B-League in 2002. Kota Ranger Football Club (; abbrev: KRFC), formerly Perkota, is a Bruneian football club, playing in the Brunei Super League. Maududi Hilmi Kasmi
Muhammad Maududi Hilmi bin Kasmi is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Brunei Super League club Kasuka. He has played for professional club DPMM FC for four seasons in the Singaporean S.League. Club career Maududi burst into the scene as a young midfielder for DPMM back when they were playing in the Malaysian Super League in 2007. Ali Mustafa (footballer)
Ali Mustafa is a Bruneian former national football player who is currently head coach of the Brunei national under-17 team. Playing career Ali was a midfielder for the Bruneian representative team than played in the Malaysian leagues in the mid-90s. He served as backup to the likes of Said Abdullah, Rosli Liman and Rosaidi Kamis. Coaching career After earning his coaching badges, Ali became head coach of Wijaya in 2003, then QAF in 2004. Amirul Hakeem bin Haji Kasim (born 18 March 1990) is a Bruneian footballer who last played for Indera SC of the Brunei Super League as a defender. Club career Hakeem began his footballing career at Jerudong FC from 2007 where he played alongside future DPMM FC star Azwan Ali Rahman.
