AdventHealth Redmond is a non-profit hospital in Rome, Georgia, United States owned by AdventHealth. In 2020, the Georgia Department of Public Health designated the hospital a Level 1 Emergency Cardiac Care Center. The hospital is also designated as a Level III trauma center. It was purchased from HCA Healthcare in October 2021. History On May 13, 2021, HCA Healthcare signed an Mergers and acquisitions, agreement to sell Redmond Regional Medical Center and its related businesses, physician clinic operations, outpatient services and equity interests to AdventHealth for $635 million. Before being sold the hospital had been part of HCA Healthcare for forty-eight years. On October 1, 2021, Redmond Regional Medical Center joined AdventHealth becoming the third hospital to join the hospital network in Georgia, it was the last hospital in Northwest Georgia sold by HCA Healthcare. AdventHealth is a Seventh-day Adventist nonprofit organization headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida, that operates facilities in 9 states across the United States. It is the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care provider in the country. In 2021, it was the second largest hospital network in Florida. The ''Montgomery Advertiser'' is a daily newspaper and news website located in Montgomery, Alabama. It was founded in 1829. History The newspaper began publication in 1829 as ''The Planter's Gazette.'' Its first editor was Moseley Baker. It became the ''Montgomery Advertiser'' in 1833. In 1903, Richard F. Hudson Sr., a young Alabama newspaperman, joined the staff of the ''Advertiser'' and rose through the ranks of the newspaper. Hudson was central to improving the financial situation of the newspaper, and by 1924 he owned 10% of its stock. ''The Albany Herald'' is the daily newspaper for metro Albany in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is distributed in metro Albany and in southwest Georgia. The newspaper was founded in 1891. Offices for the paper were previously housed in the historic Rosenberg Brothers Department Store in downtown Albany. Polk County is a county in the Northwest region of the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 42,853. The county seat is Cedartown.
