Adriano Costa (artist)
Adriano Costa (born 1975) is a Brazilian contemporary artist who works in sculpture, installation, and painting. He has had solo exhibitions in international cities such as São Paulo, Vienna, London, Milan, Los Angeles, Cologne, Porto, and New York. His work is also in the permanent collection of Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Pinacoteca de Estado de São Paulo; Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection, Turin, Italy; and the Boros Collection, Berlin, among others. Costa is a three-time PIPA Prize nominee (2012, 2013, and 2016). Pinacoteca Do Estado De São Paulo
The Pinacoteca de São Paulo (Portuguese for "pinacotheca (picture gallery) of the state of São Paulo") is a visual arts museum focused on Brazilian art from the 19th century to the present day, in dialogue with various cultures from around the world. Founded in 1905 by the Government of the State of São Paulo, the Pinacoteca is the oldest art museum in the city and has three buildings: Pinacoteca Luz, Pinacoteca Estação and Pinacoteca Contemporânea. Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo
The Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo is a non-profit contemporary arts institution based in Turin, Italy, founded by arts collector Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in 1995. History In 1995, Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo established the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, initially showing her growing collection in the family home at the Palazzo Re Rebaudengo in Guarene d'Alba. In 2002, the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo opened a low-built minimalist building in the Borgo San Paolo district in the urban center of Turin, as a dedicated art space. Boros Collection
The Boros Collection is a private collection of contemporary art by Karen and Christian Boros, which has been on display since 2008 in the Reichsbahnbunker Friedrichstraße in Berlin, Germany. The collection comprises artworks in the mediums of sculpture, photography and painting by international contemporary artists. The works are installed on five floors of the bunker, which the architect Jens Casper transformed into a compendium of individual rooms that interconnect on multiple floors. While some rooms were transformed into classic white cube spaces, others still bare traces of the bunker's lineage when it was used as a prison, storage facility and techno club. Each exhibition in the bunker additionally includes site-specific works that refer to and interact with the various interior spaces and their history.
