Adnan Özyalçıner
Adnan Çelik (born 1934 in İstanbul) is a Turkish author known as Adnan Özyalçıner. His real name is Adnan Çelik. He is the son of Ayşe Hanım and weaver Ahmet Nuri Özyalçıner. He was born and raised in Istanbul to a family with Bosniak roots. He graduated from İstanbul Boys Highschool and studied Turkology at the Literature Faculty of İstanbul University. In 1967 he married poet Sennur Sezer. He worked more than 20 years as a proofreader at the ''Cumhuriyet'' newspaper. From 1974 to 1989 he was the secretary general of the Turkish Writers' Union. In 1981 he was brought to the position of Vice President of YAZKO. He worked as the editor-in-chief of literary magazines, including ''Yazko Literature'', ''Yazko Translation'' and '' Hürriyet Gösteri''. The Turkish Language Association ( tr, Türk Dil Kurumu, TDK) is the regulatory body for the Turkish language, founded on 12 July 1932 by the initiative of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and headquartered in Ankara, Turkey. The Turkish Journalists' Association ( tr, Türkiye Gazeteciler Cemiyeti, TGC) is an association for journalists in Turkey. Sennur Sezer
Sennur Sezer (12 June 1943, Eskişehir – 7 October 2015, İstanbul) was a Turkish poet and documentary writer. Her real name is Sennur Fatma Çelik. Her first poem was published in 1958 and her first book ''Gecekondu'' in 1964. She wrote many screenplays, especially for Turkish cinema under her real name as well as under a pseudonym and contributed to the writing of various encyclopedias and anthologies. As one of the founding members of the Labour party she supported all kinds of actions by women, workers and other groups of people seeking their rights and supported the actions taken by them such as strikes.
