Adam Jankowski
Adam Jankowski (born 1948 in Gdańsk, Poland) is an Austrian painter and professor at the Offenbach University of Art & Design. His studio is located in St. Pauli, Hamburg, Germany. The early work of Jankowski is closely related to the '68 movement. The political subject of his painting was seen as a provocation at that time. The artistic career of Adam Jankowski has always been characterized by exchanges with other artists like Uwe Schneede and Robert Lettner. Up to the present Jankowski's work is dedicated to the question of landscape painting in the age of digital imaging technologies. Life Adam Jankowski grew up in Gdańsk, Poland, but he moved in 1955 to Warsaw and in 1961 with his parents to Vienna where he became Austrian. The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (german: link=no, Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien) is a public art school in Vienna, Austria. History The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna was founded in 1692 as a private academy modelled on the Accademia di San Luca and the Parisien Académie de peinture et de sculpture by the court-painter Peter Strudel, who became the ''Praefectus Academiae Nostrae''. In 1701 he was ennobled by Emperor Joseph I as '' Freiherr'' (Baron) of the Empire. With his death in 1714, the academy temporarily closed. On 20 January 1725, Emperor Charles VI appointed the Frenchman Jacob van Schuppen as Prefect and Director of the Academy, which was refounded as the ''k.k. Sabine Moritz
Sabine Moritz (born 1969 in Quedlinburg) is a German painter and graphic designer. She is married to Gerhard Richter. Life and work Sabine Moritz was born as the daughter of a chemist in East Germany. From 1973 to 1981 she lived together with her family in a high-density housing area of Lobeda in Neulobeda. Before emigrating to West Germany in 1985 she lived in Jena for 4 years. In 1988 she started her studies at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach (The Offenbach University of Art and Design) at the class of Adam Jankowski. From 1991 she continued her studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Academy of Art Düsseldorf). Peter Zizka
Peter Zizka (born 16 December 1961) is a German designer and conceptual artist. Life Zizka is the younger son of the social politician Walburga Zizka (Christian Democratic Union of Germany) and Cyril Zizka, of Czech descendant. Initially trained as an art restorer, Peter Zizka went to study graphics, design, and visual communication at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach in 1983. At the same time, he attended the Städelschule in Frankfurt and studied under Bruce McLean, among others. In 1989, together with Achim Heine and Michael Lenz, Zizka founded the design company Heine/Lenz/Zizka. Parallel, in the early 1990s, Zizka and Olaf Rahlwes explored the interface between art and design with their ''MEMORY'' conceptual art exhibitions. Parastou Forouhar (born 1962 in Tehran) is an Iranian installation artist who lives and works out of Frankfurt, Germany. Forouhar's art reflects her criticism of the Iranian government and often plays with the ideas of identity. Her artwork expresses a critical response towards the politics in Iran and Islamic Fundamentalism. The loss of her parents, Dariush and Parvaneh, fuels Forouhar's work and challenges viewers to take a stand on war crimes against innocent citizens.
