Acme (band)
are a Japanese visual kei metalcore band formed in 2017 with the concept of "delinquent boys from another world." The band consists of four members: CHISA (vocals), SHOGO (guitar), RIKITO (bass), and HAL (drums). Known for their post-hardcore musical style and colorful visuals, ACME has gained attention for their high-energy live performances. ACME have toured in the United States and Canada, and were the only visual kei band to complete a U.S. tour in 2021. ''JRock News'' ranked ACME as the second best visual kei artist of 2022. Currently ACME are self-managed and operate as an independent band, not signed to a label. Career 2017–2020: Formation and beginnings ACME were formed in 2017 by DIV band members CHISA and SHOGO. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Red Handed Denial are a Canadian metalcore band from Toronto, Ontario. Though their formation was in 2008, the band did not start touring seriously until 2016. Red Handed Denial have toured the United States and Canada with bands such as Protest the Hero, I Set My Friends On Fire, AURAS, Sea of Treachery, and ACME, and have performed with bands such as Trivium, The Contortionist, Matenrou Opera, I See Stars, Silent Planet, and A Skylit Drive. Anime Detour is an annual three-day anime convention held during March/April at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The convention run by the non-profit organization Anime Twin Cities. Programming The convention typically offers anime music videos, anime rooms, artist alley, costume contests, guest panels, a masquerade, vendors' room, and workshops. Zakk Cervini is an American record producer, vocal producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer. He was born in Monroe, Connecticut on June 2, 1993.
