Abul Hossain is a politician for Rajshahi District of Bangladesh and former member of parliament for the Rajshahi-4 constituency in 1988 Bangladeshi general election, 1988. Career Abul is the president of Rajshahi District Jatiya Party (Ershad), Jatiya Party. He was elected to parliament from Rajshahi-4 as a Jatiya Party (Ershad), Jatiya Party candidate in the 1988 Bangladeshi general election. He was defeated from Rajshahi-4 constituency as a candidate of Jatiya Party in the fifth parliamentary elections of 1991. He was expecting the nomination of Jatiya Party in Rajshahi-5 constituency in the Eleventh Parliamentary Election of 2018. Rajshahi-4 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2024 by Abul Kalam Azad of the Awami League. Jatiya Party (Ershad)
The Jatiya Party ( bn, জাতীয় পার্টি, translit=Jatiyo Party, lit=National Party) is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammad Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations. Rajshahi District ( bn, রাজশাহী জেলা) is a district in mid-western Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rajshahi Division. The metropolitan city of Rajshahi is in Rajshahi District. Md. Ayeen Uddin ( bn, মোঃ আয়েন উদ্দিন) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent member of parliament for Rajshahi-3. 1988 Bangladeshi General Election
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 3 March 1988. They were boycotted by several major parties, including the Bangladesh Awami League, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, the Communist Party of Bangladesh, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League, the National Awami Party (Muzaffar) and the Workers Party of Bangladesh.
