Abdul Faththaah
Abdul Faththaah Abdul Gayyoom (born 6 December 1971), commonly known as Abdul Faththaah is a Maldivians, Maldivian film director, Film producer, producer, Film editing, editor, screenwriter and Choreography, choreographer. One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Faththaah is the recipient of a number of awards, including four Gaumee Film Awards, and two Maldives Film Awards. In 2004, President of the Maldives, Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition for Performing Arts, National Award of Recognition. He is known for his romantically stylish film-making. Realizing his potential, after a successful venture at an inter-office teledrama competition, Faththaah made his directorial debut with a video single, "Dhan Dhan Dhanvaru". Mohamed Manik (15 October 1969) is a Maldivian film actor, director and makeup artist. Television Maldives (TVM) is the public service broadcasting TV channel of the Maldives. It was formed on 29 March 1978. History The station started broadcasting on 29 March 1978 to a very limited audience, 90 television sets around the capital Male. The station broadcast on VHF channel 7 with an ERP of 1KW. In 1994, a second channel, TVM Plus, started broadcasting, which relied upon subscriptions. By the 2000s, the Maldives had more than 60,000 television sets and TVM Plus was available in close to 2,000 households.
