Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar
Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar (born in 1937 – died in 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah) was one of the first Somali teachers in Galkayo School along with his uncle Abdullah Abubakar. Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar educated many Somali students in both Italian Somaliland and British Somaliland in 1950s. Early years Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar graduated from civilian universities in Egypt in 1959 and military academy in Egypt before he joined the nascent Somali Military in 1960. Somali Revolution Capitan Abdirizak Mohamud Abubakar, became one of the most admired officers for his integrity and service in 1960s. Muhammad Ali Samatar
Mohamed Ali Samatar ( so, Maxamed Cali Samatar; 1 January 193119 August 2016), also known as Ali Samatar was a Somali politician and lieutenant general. A senior member of the Supreme Revolutionary Council, he also served as the Prime Minister of Somalia from 1 February 1987 to 3 September 1990. Early years Samatar was born in 1931 in Kismayo, Somalia. For his post-secondary education, Samatar studied at the Frunze Military Academy in the former Soviet Union (Военная академия им. М. В. Фрунзе), an elite institution reserved for the most qualified officers of the Warsaw Pact armies and their allies. Abdullah Mohamed Fadil
Abdullah Mohamed Fadil ( so, Cabdallah Maxamed Fadhil, ar, عبد الله محمد فاضل; died January 1991), also known as Abdalla Mohamed Fadil, was a prominent Somali military figure. Biography Fadil was the son of a Yemeni musketeer from Taiz governorate with the Sultanate of Hobyo and a Majeerteen mother of the Nuh Jabrail family. Both parents served under Sultan Ali Yusuf Kenadid, heir to Sultan Yusuf Ali Kenadid. Fadil was the first Joint Chiefs of Staff and Commander of the Somali Armed Forces (SAF), and was a senior member of the Supreme Revolutionary Council (SRC). A Major General in the military, he would also hold number of portfolios as a Minister, including as the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Minister of Health, Minister of Ports and Marine Transport, during the Siad Barre administration.
