Aaron Cockerill
Aaron Cockerill (born 17 April 1992) is a Canadian professional golfer and European Tour player. He was runner-up at the 2022 Magical Kenya Open, as well as the 2023 ISPS Handa Championship in Japan, losing in a playoff to Lucas Herbert. Amateur career Cockerill played golf at Stonewall Collegiate High School, where he was a four-time zone champion and served as team captain for three years. He played three years on the Team Manitoba province squad. Cockerill had a successful year in 2010, winning the Manitoba Junior Men's Championship and finished 10th at the Canadian Amateur Championship. He also won the Golf Canada Western Future Links Championship and was the medalist at the Manitoba Match Play Championship. He was the low individual at the Provincial Junior Interclub, helping Teulon capture the rural division. Teulon is a town located approximately 59 kilometres north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on Provincial Trunk Highway 7. Stone Irish Challenge
The Irish Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour. In 2021 it was held at Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links. The first event was played in October 2015 and was won by Tom Murray who beat Nino Bertasio at the second hole of a sudden-death playoff, winning the first prize of €28,800. The 2019 event was reduced to 54 holes after the final was abandoned because of heavy rain. 2023 European Tour
The 2023 European Tour, titled as the 2023 DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, is the 52nd season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972. It is the second season of the tour under a title sponsorship agreement with DP World, that was announced in November 2021. In September 2022, the opening six events of the 2023 season were announced; they were all co-sanctioned events, four with the South Africa-based Sunshine Tour and two with the PGA Tour of Australasia, and were scheduled for late 2022. The Alfred Dunhill Championship is a men's professional golf tournament which is played in South Africa. It is part of the Southern African Sunshine Tour and is one of several events in South Africa that are co-sanctioned by the more prestigious European Tour. History The tournament was founded in 2000, but its origins lie in Dunhill's sponsorship of the South African PGA Championship between 1995 and 1999. Following the 1999 Alfred Dunhill PGA Championship, the company decided to discontinue their association with the South African PGA, and create their own stand alone tournament. The first event was held in January 2000 at the Houghton Golf Club in Johannesburg, and replaced the South African PGA Championship on the European Tour calendar. Omega European Masters
The Omega European Masters is the Swiss stop on professional men's golf's European Tour, and in 2009 it became the first event in Europe to be co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour. Founded as the Swiss Open in 1923, the tournament was prefixed with European Masters in 1983, before dropping Swiss Open from the title in 1992. Pablo Larrazábal Corominas (born 15 May 1983) is a Spanish professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. He also played in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series event at the Centurion Club. Early life Larrazábal was born in Barcelona, Spain. He attended high school in the United States and returned to Spain in 2002 with the intention of turning professional but his father made him work on the family fish farm in Cantabria to understand the value of money.
