Aalemane
''Aalemane'' is a 1981 Kannada movie, starring Suresh Heblikar, Mohan Kumar, Roopa Chakravarthi and Upasane Seetaram. The film was directed by Mohan Kumar and features musical score by the Ashwath- Vaidi duo. The film was a musical hit and won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Lyricist for Doddarange Gowda. Plot Bhaira is a villager well known for his psychotic nature and his beautiful wife Honni. At dusk one evening, Honni is brutally raped and murdered. The villagers blame Bhaira for Honni's murder and are on the move to punish him. Bhaira confronts them with the truth, but his truth is unheard. Bhaira then seeks help of the new village teacher and asks him to trace the truth for him. Will the teacher be able to end this blame game and find the truth behind the murder? Doddarangegowda is a Kannada poet and a lyricist working for Kannada cinema. He is a retired professor of Kannada and has published a number of anthologies in Kannada. He has released several audio cassettes and CDs of his poems. Some of his noteworthy songs are ''Tera Yeri Ambaradaage'' and ''Notadaage Nageya Meeti'' of Parasangada Gendethimma, ''Nammoora Mandara Hoove'' of Aalemane, ''Sri Rama Bandavne'' of Paduvaaralli Pandavaru. He was also a Bharatiya Janata Party MLC. In 2018, he was awarded with the civilian award Padma Shri. Early life Doddarangegowda was born on 7 February 1946 to K. ''Nammoora Mandara Hoove'' () is a 1996 Indian Kannada-language film directed by Sunil Kumar Desai starring Shiva Rajkumar, Ramesh Aravind and Prema in lead roles. It's considered one of the all-time blockbuster romantic movies in Kannada Film Industry. The film received two awards at the 1996–97, Karnataka State Film Awards including Best Child Actor – Male for Master Vinayak Joshi and Best Female Playback Singer for K. S. Chithra.
