''A Letra A'' ''(The Letter A)'' is the fourth solo album released by Brazilian musician Nando Reis, and the first one after his departure from Titãs, where he sang and played the bass guitar. "Mesmo Sozinho" was previously recorded by Nando with Titãs on the album '' A Melhor Banda de Todos os Tempos da Última Semana'', the last to feature him, and "Luz dos Olhos" was recorded live by Cássia Eller on her '' Acústico MTV'' album. "Luz dos Olhos" was written by Reis under the request of Jorge Davidson, Sony's artistic director at that time, intending to use it on Cidade Negra's fourth album '' O Erê''. Nando Reis
Nando Reis (, born José Fernando Gomes dos Reis; January 12, 1963) is a Brazilian musician and producer, best known as the former bassist and one of the lead singers of Brazilian rock band Titãs and for his successful solo career, with his own band called Os Infernais. He has also produced a few albums, including some related to Cássia Eller, who has made several significant partnerships with him, and Marisa Monte. In 2012, Nando Reis was listed among the top ten Brazilian artists at the ECAD list of artists who earned the most from copyright in the first semester of that year. In 2016, he was at the 15th position, besides being 6th in the ranking of earnings from live performances and topped the ranking of earnings from music played in public places. Acústico MTV (Cássia Eller Album)
''Acústico MTV'' is a musical television program originally aired by MTV Brasil, inspired by the series ''MTV Unplugged'', an American program created in 1989 where bands and artists play their music in an acoustic version, that is, with acoustic and non-electric instruments. Initially, ''Acústico MTV'' was born as a television program and, as a result, became a music label. For the Brazilian music industry, the series took the music market to its peak. Titãs
Titãs () are a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo. Though they basically play pop/alternative rock, their music has touched a number of other styles throughout their 30-year career, such as new wave, punk rock, grunge, MPB and electronic music.
