Cássia Eller
Cássia Rejane Eller ( Portuguese: /ˈkasjɐ ʁeˈʒɐni ˈɛleʁ/) (December 10, 1962 – December 29, 2001) was a Brazilian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, regarded as one of the greatest representatives of Brazilian rock in the 1990s. She came to prominence in the early 1990s and performed a mix of rock and MPB. Eller released five studio albums in her lifetime: '' Cássia Eller'' (1990), '' O Marginal'' (1992), '' Cássia Eller'' (1994), '' Veneno AntiMonotonia'' (1997) and '' Com Você... Meu Mundo Ficaria Completo'' (1999). Her sixth studio album, '' Dez de Dezembro'' (2002), was released posthumously. Eller's most successful album was '' Acústico MTV – Cássia Eller'' (2001), selling over 1 million copies. She was ranked as the 18th-greatest vocalist and 40th-greatest Brazilian musician by '' Rolling Stone Brasil''. Trio Elétrico
Trio elétrico (, ''electric trio'') is a kind of truck or float equipped with a high-power sound system and a stage for music performance on the top, playing for the crowd as it drives through the cities. It was created in Bahia specifically for Carnival and it is now used in similar events in other districts and countries. This setup is used in Brazilian Carnival inside the '' blocos carnavalescos'' and other festivals in Brazil, specially in '' micaretas''. Frevo
Frevo is a dance and musical style originating from Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, traditionally associated with Brazilian Carnival. The word ''frevo'' is said to come from ''frever'', a variant of the Portuguese word ''ferver'' (to boil). It is said that the sound of the ''frevo'' will make listeners and dancers feel as if they are boiling on the ground. The word frevo is used for both the frevo music and the frevo dance. ''Acústico MTV'' is a musical television program originally aired by MTV Brasil, inspired by the series ''MTV Unplugged'', an American program created in 1989 where bands and artists play their music in an Acoustic music, acoustic version, that is, with acoustic and non-electric instruments. Initially, ''Acústico MTV'' was born as a television program and, as a result, became a music label. For the Brazilian music industry, the series took the music market to its peak. With the end of MTV Brasil's management by Grupo Abril in September 2013, the station stopped producing the program. Therefore, the last acoustic one was with Arnaldo Antunes.
