A Dead Forest Index
A Dead Forest Index is a musical project formed by brothers Adam Sherry and Sam Sherry in 2008 in Melbourne, Australia. History Adam and Sam Sherry are originally from New Zealand, writing and performing as a minimalist two-piece, based between Melbourne and London. In 2012, A Dead Forest Index released an EP entitled ''Antique'' with Denovali Records and in 2013 the duo were invited to support the band Savages on a UK tour. Following on from supporting Savages, having caught the attention of Savages’ singer and Pop Noire label co- founder Jehnny Beth, the duo released the EP ''Cast of Lines'' with the label Pop Noire in 2014. Neofolk, also known as apocalyptic folk, is a form of experimental music blending elements of folk and industrial music, which emerged in punk rock circles in the 1980s. Neofolk may either be solely acoustic or combine acoustic folk instrumentation with various other sounds. Jehnny Beth
Jehnny Beth (born Camille Berthomier, 24 December 1984), is a French musician, singer-songwriter, producer, presenter and actress, best known as half of the duo John & Jehn and front woman of the English rock band Savages. Her debut solo album '' To Love Is to Live'' was released to critical acclaim in June 2020. Beth is known for her powerful live performances and her intense voice. Sargent House is an American management company and record label based in Los Angeles. It was founded in June 2006 by Cathy Pellow, who is a music video commissioner for Atlantic Records and also owns a music video production company called Refused TV. Pellow began managing the rock outfit RX Bandits in 2006.
