ATM Azharul Islam
ATM Azharul Islam is a Bangladeshi politician from the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. He contested the June 1996 Bangladeshi general election, 1996, 2001 Bangladeshi general election, 2001 and 2008 Bangladeshi general election, 2008 elections for the Rangpur-2 constituency in the Jatiya Sangsad but did not win. He had served as the party's Secretary General until 2012, when he was arrested and charged with Bangladesh genocide, war crimes during the Bangladesh Liberation War by the country's International Crimes Tribunal (Bangladesh), International Crimes Tribunal. He was convicted by the ICT in 2014. Badarganj Upazila
Badarganj () is an Upazila of Rangpur District in Rangpur Division, Bangladesh. Badarganj is named after the mystic-saint Hazrat Badaruddin Shah. His tomb is situated in the middle of the town. After the conquests of Bengal, Turki Commander Ikhtiyar Uddin Muhammad bin Bakhtiyar Khilji stopped over at a field at Mansinghapur, Madai Khamar during his invasion of Tibet in 1203 AD to feed his horses. Jatiya Party (Ershad)
The Jatiya Party (, ; JaPa or JP(E)) is a political party of Bangladesh. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammed Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of opposition. The Al-Badr (; ; ) was an East Pakistani militia composed mainly of pro-Pakistan people, which operated in East Pakistan against the Bengali nationalist movement during the Bangladesh War of Independence, under the patronage of the Government of Pakistan. Etymology The name 'Al-Badr' means the full moon and refers to the Battle of Badr. History Organization Al-Badr and Al-Shams were first formed at the University of Dhaka by the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba's head organizer Matiur Rahman Nizami. They operated in September 1971, under the auspices of General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, then chief of the Pakistan Army eastern command. Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, commonly known as Chhatrashibir or Shibir, is an Islamic student organisation in Bangladesh. It was established in 1977 as the successor to the East Pakistani faction of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba colloquially known as Islami Chattra Shangha. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir (born 26 January 1948) is a Bangladeshi politician. He has been the secretary general of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) since 2016. He was a member of the Jatiya Sangsad, parliament for Thakurgaon-1 constituency from 2001 to 2006. In that term, he was also appointed the Minister of State in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture (Bangladesh), Ministry of Agriculture and later Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. ''Amar Desh'' (; ) is a Bengali-language daily newspaper in Bangladesh, published from Dhaka since 2004. ''Amar Desh'' provides news about Bangladesh from local and regional perspectives and covers international news. ''Amar Desh'' is considered as a popular newspaper in Bangladesh.
