AE LIVE
''AE_LIVE'' is a series of live recordings by British electronic music duo Autechre, initially released on 29 October 2015 by Warp Records. As of 2019, it consists of 28 soundboard recordings, each roughly an hour long, made during their 2014-2015 live tour. Said tour had its inception at Warp Records' 25th anniversary Warp25 celebration in Kraków, Poland on 20 September 2014, the duo's first live show since 2011. The recordings are accompanied by individualized abstract geometric artwork produced by The Designers Republic. Release ''AE_LIVE'' was first released abruptly to members of the Autechre mailing list, who were given an invite-only opportunity to purchase the recordings. On 1 November 2015, AE_STORE, Autechre's Bleep.com substore, released the first four live sets to the public. On 8 December 2015, the AE_STORE was updated to include five more recordings. AE LIVE 2016/2018
''AE_LIVE 2016/2018'' (also known as ''onesix'') is a series of live recordings by British electronic music duo Autechre, released on 7 April 2020 by Warp Records. It consists of 7 soundboard recordings made during their live tours in 2016 and 2018. The 2016 dates were recorded during Autechre's European "onesix" tour, and the 2018 dates were recorded during a short tour of Australia, Japan and Ireland. Autechre has said some dates from these tours were not recorded due to technical difficulties. Both tours feature variations of the same set. Autechre has described the sound of the 2016/2018 set as "quite different" from the 2014/2015 set, saying that the newer set is "a little bit slower, and a little bit more focused on the sound than the beat ... a lot of the sequencing is still very complex, but it's a lot of curves rather than discrete events ... it's quite difficult to categorize ... we just think of it as Autechre." ''AE_2022–'' (initially known as ''AE_LIVE 2022–'') is a collection of live recordings by British electronic music duo Autechre. The series was initially released on 10 August 2023 through Warp Records, and a batch of new recordings was subsequently added on 4 November 2024. Currently, the series consists of 19 soundboard recordings made during the band's live tours in 2022–2024. The recordings are accompanied by individualized artwork produced by The Designers Republic. ''AE_2022–'' is Autechre's third official live series, following '' AE_LIVE'' (recorded 2014-2015) and '' AE_LIVE 2016/2018''. Each series features a distinct set of new music. Autechre ( ) are an English electronic music duo consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both from Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, they are among the best known acts signed to UK electronic label Warp Records, through which all of Autechre's full-length albums have been released beginning with their 1993 debut ''Incunabula''. They gained initial recognition when they were featured on Warp's 1992 compilation ''Artificial Intelligence''. ''L-event'' is an EP by electronic music duo Autechre, released on Warp Records on 28 October 2013. The EP is a companion to Autechre's double album '' Exai,'' which was released earlier in the same year. Release Like '' Exai'', ''L-event'' features album artwork and packaging by The Designer's Republic. It was released on 28 October 2013 as a CD and LP, accompanied with either a downloadable .mp3 or .WAV version of the album when purchased from Bleep.com. Elseq 1–5
''elseq 1–5'' is the twelfth studio album by British electronic music duo Autechre. It was released by Warp Records on 19 May 2016. The album consists of five segments, each roughly 50 minutes in length. All five were made available for individual or group purchase as a digital download only, making it Autechre's first album without a physical release. Production In an interview with ''Resident Advisor'', Brown explained that he and Booth had been working on tracks by sending them back and forth to each other for "quite a bit", and was not sure whether the project existed as a single album or a collection of albums or EPs. As with their previous album '' Exai'', the album was composed using custom-made Max/MSP software patches. Warp Records is a British independent record label that specialises in Electronic music, electronic, indie rock and experimental music. It was founded in Sheffield in 1989 by Steve Beckett, Robert Mitchell and Robert Gordon.
