The Members Church of God International (MCGI) Convention Center also known as ''Pasalamatán'' and ADD Convention Center in Tagalog is an open-type, multi-purpose convention center owned by the Members Church of God International (MCGI), a Philippine-based Christian religious organization. It is located inside the 58-hectare MCGI Compound along MacArthur Highway in Brgy. Sampaloc, Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines. MCGI is also known in the Philippines as Ang Dating Daan or "ADD" (English: "The Old Path"), the title of its flagship radio and television program. Background In the mid 1990s, the church left its old headquarters (also known a"Old Central" in Brgy. San Vicente, a flood-prone area in Apalit and relocated to a bigger space. MacArthur Highway
The MacArthur Highway, officially the Manila North Road (MNR or MaNor), is a , two-to-six lane, national primary highway and tertiary highway in Luzon, Philippines, connecting Caloocan in Metro Manila to Aparri in Cagayan. Apalit
Apalit, officially the Municipality of Apalit ( pam, Balen ning Apalit; tl, Bayan ng Apalit), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Pampanga, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 117,160 people. The town is famous for its Apung Iru Fluvial Procession, which is listed as one of the most significant water-based intangible cultural heritage of the Philippines. The La Verdad Christian College or LVCC is a private non-stock, non-sectarian educational institution established in Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines. ASOP Music Festival
The ASOP (A Song of Praise) Music Festival is an annual music festival held in Metro Manila, Philippines. Basically a songwriting competition, it is the only gospel music television program in the country. An original concept of Bro. Eli Soriano and Daniel Razon aiming to bring back praise songs to the public, it started in 2004 as a music competition inside the Members Church of God International but was later opened to the general public in 2011. The music festival also discourages rap and metal music entries. The program airs weekly on UNTV every Sunday night holding weekly and monthly eliminations. The show is hosted by Ninang Toni and balladeer Richard Reynoso. For the first 6 years (2012-2017), the Grand Finals were held in Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. ''Ang Dating Daan'' ( English: The Old Path, Portuguese: ''O Caminho Antigo'', Spanish: ''El Camino Antiguo'') is a religious radio and television program produced by the Members Church of God International. It is primarily hosted by Brother Eli Soriano that began in the last quarter of 1980. It has been recognized as one of the longest-running religious television programs in the World. The name of the program is based on Jeremiah 6:16 of the Bible. While mainly broadcasting in Tagalog ( Filipino), some English language elements were added for foreign viewers, including " Truth in Focus", "Biblically Speaking", "How Authentic the Bible is", and "Bible Guide".
