A. N. M. Hamidullah
A. N. M. Hamidullah (1919-1994) born in village somospur, in Srinagar of Munshiganj (formerly Bikrampur) district was the first governor of Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh. He served during 1972–1974. Hamidullah's wife was killed in 1971 in an attack by the Pakistani Army. Early life In 1919, he was born in the village called Somospur, in Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj (former Bikrampur) district. In 1971, Hamidullah was the managing director of Eastern Banking Corporation. His entire family was killed by Pak Army when they were attempting to leave Dacca by country boat during no-curfew hours. Abu Sayeed Chowdhury
Abu Sayeed Chowdhury (31 January 1921 – 2 August 1987) was a jurist and the second president of Bangladesh. Besides that, he held the positions of the chairman of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, the vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, and the first Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK. Early life and education Chowdhury was born on 31 January 1921 to a Bengali Muslim ''zamindar'' family in the village of Nagbari in Tangail, Mymensingh district, Bengal Presidency (now Bangladesh). Mohammad Mohammadullah
Mohammad Mohammadullah (21 October 1921 – 12 November 1999) was the third president of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Mohammadullah became the Acting President on 24 December 1973, was elected president on 24 January 1974, and took oath of office on 27 January 1974. He remained President until 25 January 1975. Early life and education Mohammadullah was born in Saicha, Raipur, Lakshmipur, on 21 October 1921. His father Munshi Abdul Wahab was a social worker. In 1943, he completed his secondary school certificate from Lakshmipur Adarsha Samad Government High School. Bikrampur (lit. City of Courage) was a historic region and a sub-division of Dhaka within the Bengal Presidency during the period of British India. Located along the banks of the Padma River (a major distributary of the Ganges), it was a significant cultural and political centre in both ancient and medieval Bengal.
