4th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade
The 4th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (; Military Unit Number 74347) is a military unit of Russian Ground Forces. Until January 1, 2023, it was part of the Luhansk People's Militia. It is attached to the 3rd Guards Combined Arms Army. History War in Donbas The brigade was formed in 2014. It took part in the War in Donbas. The brigade's garrison was in Alchevsk. In April 2017, the brigade moved its garrison to Khrustalnyi. Russian invasion of Ukraine The brigade took part in the battle of Bakhmut in the Klishchiivka sector where it suffered heavy casualties including the brigade's commander Vyacheslav Makarov. Luhansk People's Republic
The Luhansk or Lugansk People's Republic (russian: Луга́нская Наро́дная Респу́блика, Luganskaya Narodnaya Respublika, ; abbreviated as LPR or LNR, rus, ЛНР) is a disputed entity created by Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine, which claims Luhansk Oblast. The Donetsk People's Militia and Luhansk People's Militia (formerly also called Russian separatist forces in Donbas) are pro-Russian paramilitaries in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, which have been fighting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War. During the Donbas War (2014–2022), they were affiliated with the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). Ivanivske (), known as Krasne () before 2016, is a small town ( selo) in eastern Ukraine, located in Bakhmut Raion, Donetsk Oblast. It is located west of Bakhmut. History Ivanivske was founded in the 18th century as a dacha of Bakhmut by Protopope Ivan Lukyanov. The protopope was known for his spiritual leadership, and many Cossacks came to his farm to work for the sake of spiritual salvation. In 1776, the lands of the farm were given to Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Vasylyovych Shabelsky, who founded the settlement of Ivanivka on his new possessions. Klishchiivka, ; russian: Клещиевка, Kleshchievka known as Karlivka until 1945, is a village in Bakhmut Raion, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine.
