35th Wisconsin Legislature
The Thirty-Fifth Wisconsin Legislature convened from to in regular session. Senators representing even-numbered districts were newly elected for this session and were serving the first year of a two-year term. Assembly members were elected to a one-year term. Assembly members and even-numbered senators were elected in the general election of November 8, 1881. Wisconsin Legislature
The Wisconsin Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The Legislature is a bicameral body composed of the upper house, Wisconsin State Senate, and the lower Wisconsin State Assembly, both of which have had Republican majorities since January 2011. Kewaunee County, Wisconsin
Kewaunee County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 20,563. Its county seat is Kewaunee. The county was created in 1852 and organized in 1859. Its Menominee name is ''Kewāneh'', an archaic name for a species of duck. Kewaunee County is part of the Green Bay, WI Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Green Bay- Shawano, WI Combined Statistical Area. Door County is the easternmost Administrative divisions of Wisconsin#County, county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the population was 30,066. Wisconsin's 1st State Senate District
The 1st Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northeast Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Door and Kewaunee counties, as well as most of northern Manitowoc County, much of south and east Brown County, northern Calumet County, and part of southwest Outagamie County. The Greenback Party (known successively as the Independent Party, the National Independent Party and the Greenback Labor Party) was an American political party with an anti-monopoly ideology which was active between 1874 and 1889. The party ran candidates in three presidential elections, in 1876, 1880 and 1884, before it faded away. The party's name referred to the non- gold backed paper money, commonly known as " greenbacks," that had been issued by the North during the American Civil War and shortly afterward.
