233rd Reserve Panzer Division
The 233rd Reserve Panzer Division was a German panzer division during World War II which was mainly deployed in Denmark. History The division was before known as the Division 233 (motorisiert) (15 May – 7 July 1942), 233rd Panzergrenadier-Division (7 July 1942 – 5 April 1943) and 233rd Panzer-Division (5 April – 8 August 1943). The 233rd Panzer Division was redesignated the 233rd Reserve Panzer Division on 8 August 1943 under the command of Kurt Cuno, and was posted to central Jutland in Denmark from 18 November. It remained in Denmark, headquartered at Horsens, where it trained panzer crews and motorised troops. It saw no combat apart from occasional Allied bombing raids. It became known as the Panzer Division Holstein after mergers with other Panzer divisions on 10 February 1945 and was then again renamed back to the 233rd Panzer Division as new Divisional headquarters were hastily set up in April 1945. Panzer-Division ''Clausewitz'' was a Nazi Germany, German panzer division during World War II, named for Carl von Clausewitz. It was formed in central Germany area at the beginning of April 1945 under the command of Generalleutnant Martin Unrein, from the 233rd Panzergrenadier Division and also drawing Panzergrenadier troops from the 233rd Reserve Panzer Division and vehicles from the Panzer training school at Putlos. Curt Jahn
General Kurt Jahn, aka Curt Jahn, (February 16, 1892 – November 7, 1966) was a German Army general and commander in Lombardy, Italy during World War II. Born in Schmalkalden, Germany, he was captured west of Milan on 1 May 1945 and interned in Britain as a prisoner of war until May 1948. Jahn had also been a member of the Baltische Landeswehr during the Latvian War of Independence. Jahn died in Coburg on 7 November 1966. Odder is a town in Jutland, Denmark. The town is the seat of Odder municipality, and is the biggest town in the municipality. It is located 20 km south of Aarhus and 16 km south-east of Skanderborg. Hadsund () is a town in the eastern part of Jutland with a population of 4,918 (1 January 2025; 5,356 incl. Hadsund South). Hobro
Hobro () is an old market and railway town in Region Nordjylland on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. It has a population of 12,360 (1 January 2025). The town is situated in a hilly terrain at the head of Mariager Fjord, close to the former Viking fortress of Fyrkat. It is the seat of Mariagerfjord municipality. Politics Hobro was until 1 January 2007 also a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in North Jutland County covering an area of 166 km2 and with a total population of 15,318 (2005).
