2025 UAE Tour
The 2025 UAE Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 17 and 23 February in the United Arab Emirates. It was the seventh edition of the UAE Tour, and the third race of the 2025 UCI World Tour. The UAE Tour was held over seven stages. The race was won by Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar of UAE Team Emirates XRG, following stage wins on both mountain stages. Teams Fifteen UCI WorldTeams and five UCI ProTeams took part in the race. 2025 UCI World Tour
The 2025 UCI World Tour is a series of races that includes thirty-six events throughout the 2025 in men's road cycling, 2025 cycling season. The tour started with the 2025 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 21 January, and will conclude with the 2025 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 19 October. Events The race calendar for the 2025 season was announced in June 2024, with thirty-six races scheduled. The calendar was similar to 2024 UCI World Tour, 2024, with a new one-day race in Denmark, the Copenhagen Sprint. In October 2024, the final calendar was confirmed. Teams The eighteen UCI WorldTeam, WorldTeams were automatically invited to compete in events, with the top two UCI ProTeams listed on the 2024 UCI World Ranking ( and ) also invited automatically. Liwa Oasis
The Liwa Oasis () is a large oasis area in the Western Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. Geography Liwa Oasis is about south of the Persian Gulf coast and southwest of the city of Abu Dhabi, on the northern edge of Rub' al Khali desert. It is centered around and stretches about east-west, along an arch curved to the north. It consists of some 50 villages. The geographic and economic center of the oasis is Muzayri`, where the highway from Abu Dhabi enters the oasis and then divides to the east ( to the easternmost village, Mahdar Bin `Usayyan) and west ( to the westernmost village, `Aradah). According to the census of population of 2005, the population was 20,196. Earlier estimates judging from satellite images which gauged the population at 50,000 to 150,000, were too high. Umm Al Quwain
Umm Al Quwain (UAQ; Arabic: أم القيوين, pronounced: /ʔumː alqejˈwejn/, Gulf Arabic: ʊm͜ː 'æl ge̞ˈwe̞n) is the capital and largest city of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates. Qidfa is a settlement and oasis in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is the site of the Fujairah power and desalination plant, the largest in the UAE. Qidfa Oasis In ecology, an oasis (; : oases ) is a fertile area of a desert or semi-desert environmentWadi Suq period (2,000 to 1,300 BCE) burial, a distinctive horse-shoe shaped tomb which is displayed at the Fujairah National Museum. The find at Qidfa was unusual in that the site yielded hundreds of weapons and vessels, including longswords, bows and arrows.

Jebel Jais
Jebel Jais () is a mountain of the North- Western Hajar range in the Musandam Governorate of Oman and also in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The summit has an elevation of . The summit is located on the Omani side, but a high point west of this peak is considered the highest point in the United Arab Emirates, at above sea level, and with around 10m of prominence. Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah (; ), often referred to its initials RAK, is the largest city and capital of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the U.A.E. Josh Tarling
Joshua Michael Tarling (born 15 February 2004) is a Welsh track and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . A World Junior champion in the time trial, he won the elite time trial at the 2023 European Road Cycling Championships at the age of 19. Early and personal life Tarling was born and grew up in Aberaeron, Ceredigion, west Wales. He speaks English and Welsh. He has a younger brother, Finlay Tarling, who is also a cyclist and has signed to the Israel Premier Tech Academy for the 2025 season. Their father, Michael, is a keen cyclist who used to race at Newport Velodrome. In 2012, Tarling’s parents started the West Wales Cycle Racing Team, in part to address the lack of cycling clubs in the area. Tarling started racing when he was around six years old.
