2025 PGA Tour
The 2025 PGA Tour is the 110th season of the PGA Tour, the main professional golf tour in the United States. It is also the 57th season since separating from the PGA of America, and the 19th edition of the FedEx Cup. Changes for 2025 In May 2025, the PGA Tour announced updates to the format of the season-ending Tour Championship. Beginning this year, starting strokes, first introduced for the 2018–19 PGA Tour, 2018–19 season, will be eliminated, with the tournament now being played as a regular 72-hole stroke-play event, with all players starting the tournament at even par. The 2024 PGA Tour was the 109th season of the PGA Tour, the main professional golf tour in the United States. Sepp Straka
Josef "Sepp" Straka (born 1 May 1993) is an Austrian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour, where he has won four titles. Early and personal life Straka was born in Vienna, Austria on 1 May 1993, to an American mother and an Austrian father. His parents met in Austria, when his mother worked in a golf shop and sold a glove to his father. His family moved to Valdosta, Georgia, when Straka was aged 14, so his mother could be closer to her family. After the move, Straka's father regularly flew back-and-forth to Austria to maintain his architecture business. Straka speaks German and English. Ludvig Åberg
Ludvig Noa Åberg (born 31 October 1999) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and European Tour. Before turning professional in June 2023, Åberg had been ranked number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for a total of 29 weeks. He finished on top of the 2022–23 PGA Tour University rankings to earn membership on the tour. Torrey Pines Golf Course
Torrey Pines Golf Course is a 36-hole municipal golf facility in University City, a community of San Diego, California. The course sits on the coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, just south of Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. Opened in 1957, it was built on the site of Camp Callan, a U.S. Army installation during World War II. Torrey Pines has two 18-hole courses, North and South, designed by William Francis Bell. The course is named for the Torrey pine, a rare tree that grows in the area. January 2025 Southern California Wildfires
From January 7 to 31, 2025, a series of 14 destructive wildfires affected the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County in California, United States. Pacific Palisades is a neighborhood in the Westside region of the city of Los Angeles, California, situated about west of downtown Los Angeles. Riviera Country Club
The Riviera Country Club is a private club with a championship golf course as well tennis courts in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of the Westside of Los Angeles, California. The Riviera was designed by golf course architects George C. Thomas Jr. and William P. Bell, it has been the primary host for the Genesis Invitational (originally the Los Angeles Open), an annual event on the PGA Tour in February. The 2023 edition was the 61st held at Riviera. Thomas Detry (born 13 January 1993) is a Belgian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and PGA Tour. He was a highly ranked amateur golfer before turning professional.
