Sepp Straka
Josef "Sepp" Straka (born 1 May 1993) is an Austrian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour, where he has won twice. Personal life Straka was born in Vienna, Austria, to an American mother and an Austrian father. His family moved to Valdosta, Georgia, when Straka was aged 14. His twin brother, Sam, also played on the golf team at the University of Georgia, where Straka graduated in business management. Amateur career Straka represented Austria, on the same team as his twin brother Sam, at the 2011 European Boys' Team Championship. Team Austria finished second (a tied all-time best), losing in the final against Spain with Jon Rahm on the team. Straka played collegiate golf at the University of Georgia from 2011 to 2016, not playing during the 2013–2014 season. Barbasol Championship
The Barbasol Championship is a professional golf tournament in Kentucky on the PGA Tour; it debuted in 2015 as an alternate event to The Open Championship in Britain in July. The first three editions of the tournament were played in Alabama at the Grand National course of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, northeast of Auburn. 2022–23 PGA Tour
The 2022–23 PGA Tour is the 108th season of the PGA Tour, and the 56th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on September 15, 2022. The 2023 FedEx Cup Playoffs will begin on August 10, and conclude on August 27, 2023. It is intended that the 2022–23 season will be the final season with the current wraparound format (that started in 2013). The tour plans to return to a traditional calendar-year format starting in 2024. He also has three runner-up finishes in major championships. College career Zalatoris was born in San Francisco, California. Representing Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, a suburb of Dallas, Texas, Zalatoris won the U.S. Junior Amateur title in 2014. Golf At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's Individual
The men's individual golf event at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held from 29 July to 1 August 2021 at the Kasumigaseki Country Club. 60 golfers from 35 nations competed in the event, which was won by Xander Schauffele of the United States. Background The first Olympic golf tournaments took place at the second modern Games in Paris 1900. Men's and women's events were held. Golf was featured again at the next Games, St. Louis 1904 with men's events (an individual tournament as well as a team event).
