2025 Miami Grand Prix
The 2025 Miami Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2025) was a Formula One motor race that was held on May 4, 2025, at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, Florida. It was the sixth round of the 2025 Formula One World Championship and the second of six Grands Prix in the season to utilise the sprint format. Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes took sprint pole position for the event. Lando Norris of McLaren won the sprint ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari. Verstappen took pole for the Grand Prix. Piastri won the Grand Prix ahead of Norris and Antonelli's teammate George Russell. The Miami Grand Prix is a Formula One Grand Prix which was held for the first time during the season, with the event taking place at the Miami International Autodrome which is located around the grounds and private facilities of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. History Miami's history of hosting racing events dates back as far as the early 1980s. Ralph Sanchez, a local Miami promoter and racing car driver proposed a race on a hybrid street/permanent circuit in Bayfront Park in the center of Miami to Formula One rights holder Bernie Ecclestone, but for various reasons was not able to make it work. So Sanchez instead ran IMSA sportscar racing on the circuit starting in 1983 for 3 years before switching to another location in Bicentennial Park in 1986. In a motorsports race, the pole position is usually the best and "statistically the most advantageous" starting position on the track. The pole position is usually earned by the driver with the best qualifying times in the trials before the race, although penalties may award it to the second fastest driver, as the pole position is statistically awarded to the driver starting in first position. The 2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 AWS Gran Premio del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna 2025) was a Formula One motor race that was held on 18 May 2025 at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy. Franco Alejandro Colapinto (; born 27 May 2003) is an Argentine racing driver who competes in Formula One for Alpine F1 Team, Alpine.
