2025 Iowa Hawkeyes Baseball Team
The 2025 Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team represents the University of Iowa during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Hawkeyes play their home games at Duane Banks Field in Iowa City, Iowa as a member of the Big Ten Conference (B1G). They are led by head coach Rick Heller, in his twelfth season with the program. Rick Heller
Rick Heller is an American college baseball coach and former shortstop, who is the current head baseball coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Heller played college baseball at Upper Iowa for head coach Bill Prochaska from 1982 to 1986. He then served as the head coach for the Upper Iowa Peacocks (1988–1999), the Northern Iowa Panthers (2000–2009) and the Indiana State Sycamores (2010–2013). 2025 Big Ten Baseball Tournament
The 2025 Big Ten baseball tournament was held at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska, from May 20 through May 25, and aired on the Big Ten Network. Nebraska won the tournament and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Format and seeding The 2025 tournament was contested under Pool Play and a single-elimination among the top twelve Big Ten Conference baseball teams with the best regular season conference winning percentage. These twelve teams received tournament seeds, number one through twelve, according to the team's final placement in the regular season standings.
